Jet Set Radio Future + Armored Core 4: Answer + Persona 3: FES

You've now got a whacked out cell-shaded game where you summon customizable giant robots by shooting yourself in the head. You skate against various rivals to build your social Links allowing you to use more and better parts in the construction of your bot.

Each mech has a customizable super attack using graffiti which marks your turf and gives you a constant bonus unless someone can defeat you and take it over. Occasionally a boss wanders into your turf, a giant bot who you can try to defeat on your own or team up with others.

Persona 4's battle system

Phoenix Wright's ridiculous amount of thought process

Katamari Damacy.

A strategic battle of wits where one summons personas to crush the opponents fouled logic with the point of a finger all the while being ridiculously addictive with bright garish colors and crazy music. Let's throw in some Katamari-themed personas just to really screw things up.

Gears Of War + Ethnic Cleansing (Neo-Nazi racist game) + Special Forces (Hezbollah propaganda game) = the most bloodiest and disturbing offensive. game.

Bad Company 2's Destructible Environments, Saint's Row 2's Sandbox, and Left 4 Dead's Co-op
IT WOULD BE THE BEST GAME EVER!
Uh...
Silent Hill 2's Scariness, Crysis's Graphics, The Rest of Dead Space.
It would be the best crap in your pants ever made.
GTA IV's Nico, Graphics of MW2, and the gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Odd platformer.
(This next one is like, 5 games)
No more heroes gameplay and Travis, Saint's Row sandbox, inFAMOUS powers, [PROTOTYPE] Powers, and War for Cybertron Vehicle controls.

TES III's epic open world, any BioWare game's writing (preferably Mass Effect) and some Red Faction's super-fragile break-on-prodding buildings!

Walk up to the main boss's citadel in Morrowind, give him the finger, and proceed to smash his base down with a nice big wallop from the BanHammer (WHICH IS A REAL WEAPON!)
Sounds badass. Maybe throw in Mount and Blade's melee combat?
I haven't played M&B, but I just looked up a vid of it on Youtube and that looks pretty damn good!
Might have to get a copy of that :D

Be careful of that game - I like it, but it tries REALLY hard to piss you off. It isn't as frutrating as [PROTORYPE], but it makes a lot of random and irritating decision to put you off your game. Maybe it's a marketing thing - I never understood it. Irregardless, I hold it as the epitomy of melee combat (have blocking as mouse movement, not automatic).

BioShock in an open world RPG type environment like Fallout 3, with the horror style atmosphere of Penumbra.

I simply do not understand why people use the late bethesda games (Fallout 3, Oblivion) as an example of open environment RPGs. It's like using Mandarin as an example of fine oriental dining.

Dragon Age, Fable, and prototype. The awesomeness would make your TV explode because it couldn't comprehend the insane RPG/action-adventure/platforming/open-world shenanigans.

Incidentally, I'm working on creating a game concept just like this.
...Peter Molynuex?

OT: I would merge Max Payne with Half-life, and put it into Earthbound.

Imagine an indestructable, silent, bullet-god; killing pint-sized gangster children in arcades, and mixing it up with the occasional hippie or stop-sign.

ALL IN SLOW MOTION.

(wait, wtf?)

Portal 2, Mario and Eversion.

2D Portal game with dimension switching mechanics and the gamelength, variety and polish of a Mario game.

The big mind-splosion part would be making portals between dimensions. You can change dimensions at will, the different dimensions would impair different abilities and some will have obstacles that others don't.
You could bring objects between dimensions by making a portal in one, switching dimensions, then making the corresponding portal in another. Or you might have to use portals between dimensions to reach certain areas, and switch dimensions mid jump.

If we throw in all of the extra mechanics Portal 2 is giving us there's a ton of gameplay there :p

Halo: Reach + Gears of War 3 + Modern Warfare 3 + Half Life: Episode 2: Part 3. Just so every one could shut up and be happy. Then merge the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii. No more flame wars.
