Metal Gear Franchise Coming to 360

I'd assume that Twisted Metal isn't being unveiled because it isn't ready yet and at a rather early stage of development (It should hit around Fall/Winter next year I guess). Sony definetly have enough good games to fill their time, let's hope they choose wisely...and by wisely I mean Trico...lots of it.

Not really, Jaffe has been working on it for a while now - he actually had something ready for E3 (the subject of the internal memo he let us look at, and we dissapointed him by unblurring it). But yeah, recent Trico footage would really steal the show.

What memo? Have any links? Is this the definite, non-Keighley related proof that it will be Twisted Metal 5?

At least it hasn't been confirmed that it's an exclusive... But anyway i don't think we're talking about a traditional MGS game here, i mean the subtitle is Lightning Bolt Action instead of the usual Tactical Espionage Action. Besides i can't think of a reason a man who takes down an army of Gekkos using only a sword or fights of an entire platoon of FROGS using only a sword held between his teeth because he has no arms left, would have to sneak around anyone!

never played 4 tbh but it doesn't look too good, looks like a shameless attempt to raise a bit of cash before people realise the series is over? i did get the psp mgs, it was lol.

While I am sad to see this happen, I am also happy that people who own a 360 get a chance to enjoy a Metal Gear game.

Why are you sad to see it happen? Exclusives don't make sense....

I'm glad I finally get to play a MGS game, they look pretty fun.

Having Raiden as the character may just be a compromise, 360 still get a MGS game but the PS3 get to keep on the far more famous and more widely popular character. An attempt to appease both sets of fans.

I think it should be pretty good, I've only played MGS 2 and raiden was pretty cool on that

Yes i can see why it's sad for a Console Exclusive Franchise to turn to the other console but can't we be the Gamers we all wish we were ? the True Gamers ? the one's that will be happy for this decision and just accept the fact that now everyone can enjoy a great franchise ? can't we be happy and proud to be gamers ? can't we just salute the other gamer for having a amazing game ?

Bottom Line.

This news just means that 360 will be getting a great game from a great franchise
This news means that now both people can be happy for each other and not miss out

And ! stop the hate on Raiden you all know that he's a great character and is just as loveable as Solid Snake.

I played Metal Gear Solid 2 for the first time in February of 2008. I was fully aware that I would not be playing as Snake, and I had no emotional attachment to him, having never played Metal Gear Solid. He still made me cringe. The only time I warmed to him as a character was in his final scene in MGS4 - before that, I still couldn't shake the feeling he was acting like a petulant child.

i was addressing the issue of people stating that he was a gay pussy
i'll admit he was kinda a wimp but not enough to make me ahte him
and i think people only call him gay because of long hair and the sneaking suit he wore

overall Raiden is a cool character.

They've tried hard to make Raiden into a badass following the hate he got after MGS2. They succeeded in some respects with the involvement he had in MGS4.

That being said, all the scenes with Raiden were high octane, high action scenes, nothing like the sneaking Snake does. Kojima has the tagline of this being "action", so maybe it'll be a bit different than earlier entries. We'll see.

MGS has been been on the Xbox for a while now. Only MGS4 was exclusive. No big deal.

And this is a spinoff starring the worst character in the entire series.
