I just want you to know, while I'm flattered by Dr.Kay's comment, that is not the way I feel about it.

You're view on this is absolutely perfect, and is pretty much how I see it. If MGS4 comes to the 360, I won't care to much, yay for you guys you get to play the best game I've played in my life. I'll only be groaning about all the 360-fans will be yelling all over the place and will never let it go, just like how people are still raving about how MS "stole" FFXIII.

However, as of right now, get the hardware or piss off. Or in less blatant terms, get the PS3 for MGS4 or stop complaining. You have to admit there is a huge sense of hipocrasy in most if not all 360 owners who want MGS4 on the 360.

But if MGS4 does come to the 360, I'll be happy for you guys (I guess) and will just be on my way. Hooray for you, you avoided buying a $400 console just for one game, congradulations.

I'll be honest you, I was all too ready to splash out on a PS3 if only to play FFXIII. I'm a bit of an FF fanboy and I would probably have done so if I had the cash on hand. Luckily I don't need to, which is pretty awesome. I didn't actually expect FFXIII to make it to the 360 like I did MGS4, so I wasn't crying about it.

Knowing my older brother, by the time I get home on Friday he'll have gone and bought a PS3 while I've been away. He's crazy like that. We've got a 40-something inch TV hooked up to a massive surround sound system, a 360 and a wii with fairly large games libraries. What's our favourite game to pass the time? DotA on Warcraft 3.

As an owner of a 360, while it is a bit of a win for as I save money on a new console, I have fully come to terms with the fact that if I want to play MGS4 that bad, I have to get a PS3. Same with LittleBigPlanet. I'm not going to jump up and down like a petulant child and demand that LBP go multi-platform because I can't afford a PS3. Stiff shit for me. As you so succinctly put it you either "get the hardware or piss off".
You can go back to the NES/Master System days, you want Kid Icarus get a NES. You want Alex Kidd, get a Master System. It all boils down to which system has more of what you want. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

As it turns out my brother is a mad MGS fan and bought a PS3 for it so I got to play it on his system and finish it. While I thought it was an awesome game, I personally couldn't justify the purchase of a system for it. That's not to say another PS3 exclusive won't come along that will warrant me buying one and I have no problem with that.

And you are right, it is blantant hipocrisy for 360 owners to rag on the PS3 for having "a lack of great games" and then turning around and bitching that MGS4 should come to the 360. No good games eh?

I've never seen to many Ps3-fans want Bioshock for the Ps3 if any at all, mainly because it's also on PC it it "automatically makes it on the supirior platform!" . Though I just assumed that it would "eventually" go to the PS3 though i didn't whine or complain because i didn't care about it to much. So far, I havn't seen people complain nor really cared about many of the 360's exclusives, they're not "my taste" so to speak.

Though, I think it was the other way around for them. We didn't want the 360's "stupid 'exclusive'" because it was all bangy-bangy (do not quote that out of context!) but when it was announced most of us were probably "Yay!" and maybe "you just lost an exclusive Xbots!" I say "exclusive" because it was also on PC. I personally thought, "yay!" and went with my life. Didn't think to much of it.

However, Fable II is having me consider getting a 360 for it, but I know how Petey over-promises his games so I'll keep to myself till then. I don't really care if Fable II will ever come to PS3 (99% improbably probably), and I'm not whining that I'm going to have a broken-system (just for emphasis!) just for the game. If it comes to the Ps3 (for some reason) then yay for me, but untill then (hell freezing over) I'm going to have to get a 360.
Or upgrade my PC, 'cause you know, all good 360 exclusives eventually make it to the PC ;P

As for the FFXIII situation you had, good for you. I'll admit, I was very pissed off when MS "stole" the exclusive (a console-selling one as your situation nearly proves), but then after the blindness of rage went over, I just accepted it.

One of my closer friends has a PS3, and I have a 360. We've swapped consoles now and again, just to play the exclusives.

As such, I couldn't care less. Either the PS3 keeps it and life goes on, or the 360 gets it and a lot more people get to play one of the best games out there right now.

I couldn't really care if they did. Though if Microsoft did bribe their way to another 'exclusive' game then I'll just laugh. I mean Sony get some games...get some exclusives and think: Okay well we got our games...lets hope we can earn some money after wasting it on the lower life forms known as gamers.

My point is that if the 360 line-up of games is really as great as the fanboys make it out to be, why are there suddenly all these posts dying for it to come out, as honestly, from what I've read, they already have the "greatest game of all time" in Halo 3 *cough* major disapppointment *cough* why on earth would they want some 'crappy' PS3 exclusive like Metal Gear Solid 4?

On the other hand, Halo 3 isn't being really missed in the glut of good FPS titles that are currently out on all systems (COD4, to name one...)

As a person who owns all 3 systems and owns MGS well everything I really don't care to much. Though it's my personal opinion everyone should be allowed to enjoy MGS4's amazing story. (Yeah I am a fanboy shut up. Oh and I love Halo, but it has no place being in this topic.) However, if they do (It's an if. shut up) They better improve MGO. Run it though Xbox Live or something, and if they insist on keeping their own service they better let PS3 owners and Xbox owners play each other so we can end this war once and for all. (It's a fact that the greatest threat to human society is fanboy wars wiping out everyone) Though maybe there are tech problems I am not aware of. Still that's my opinion.

But in all honesty, I can not see how MGs4 will sell that well on the 360. The original MGS came on XBLA and it sold horribly. MGS2 was also on the Xbox but that sold horribly to.

When? How could I have missed that? Are you sure that Metal Gear Solid is/was on Xbox Live Arcade because I just don't see it? There are some rumors but no actual release.

As for the MGS2 selling horribly on the Xbox I can't say whether or not that is true. However I do know that it did sell well enough to be rereleased as part of Xbox classics. To do so it would have had to have sold over 400,000 units on the platform in the nine months after release.

Ah, but you see you're making the mistake of listening to Fanboys. Having another game in the Xbox 360 game library should be heralded as a good thing. It's another feather in its cap. Similarly, if you were to give any 360 exclusives to the PS3, that too should be heralded as a good thing for the exact same reason.

In all likelihood the 360 lineup is not "as great as the fanboys make it out to be", similarly neither will the PS3s. That's because you're listening to fanboys describe it.
