Hello. I joined the site because I had to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
To everyone that has congratulated me, thank you very much! A lot of the comments here have really touched me. I feel very accomplished and really hope it is a story that can motivate other gamers to bring out positivity in themselves, and reverse the media's ludicrous views on video games.
In other news, since this seems to be a common topic, I do own a Wii, and I did play Metroid: other M. I picked it up on it's release date and beat it in a day. Needless to say, my jaw hit the ground when I saw my idol shatter into an emotional trainwreck. Taking orders from a man that should have never been considered a "Father figure". Excuse me? I guess the Chozo have ceased to exist. Oh no Ridley, I should have put a diaper under the power suit.
But worry not. I plan on selling the game and putting it towards my 3DS. I have put the game behind me, and will make believe it never came into existence. The Samus I look up to has no affiliation with Team ninja or Daddy Adam.
Thank you for your concern regarding my reaction to Other M. But mostly, thank you all for the touching comments about the article. I now work with a charity organization called SOSGamers. We hold game events and tournaments to raise donation money for March of Dimes, Susan B. Komen (cancer research), food drives for the poor and homeless, etc. Check out our website, especially if you live in the New York area!

Sooner or later, the media and general public outlook on games is going to get booted in the face, hard. Video games do not create demons. Bad people that play video games do bad things. Good people use gaming to go in the type of directions that I did. The world is filled with plenty of good souls.
