Bah. Thats like saying Resident Evil 5 ruined the Resident Evil franchise.
I like most of the gameplay, the storyline is suspenseful (and extremely random and unexplanatory at times...) but I can't stand how they made Samus seem so excessively girly.
I understand that she is still pretty much a young inexperienced girl, and that she is not the hardened warrior that I came to know in Metroid Prime, but holy shit did they overdo it.

I'll read that article by Mental later, because it seems excessively TL;DR atm.

Personally i thought the gameplay in Other M was awesome.

I enjoyed it too, except for a few parts here and there, but for the most part, I really liked it.
I fucking hate how after years and years of non-canon games, the fan-base creates what Samus is like as defined by her actions, and here comes a game that is "canon", and it is the COMPLETE opposite of what we all came to know.

Very cute story, it made me smile. I applaud her ability to overcome tragedies and succeed in becoming more like her role model (or becoming her completely). She also makes a pretty darn cute Samus! ^_^
