Once this movie is done, I'm sure someone will reboot it to bring back all the hopeful fanboys. It'd work for me if George Lucas suddenly announced that he wants to reboot the prequels, and that he was just going to produce it this time, and that he would hire someone that actually knew how to write and/or direct.

Oh goodie, another movie for me to skip. At least I have Prime Season 2 and Fall of Cybertron to look forward to.

...Excuse me one moment...

...much better. And I was really, really hoping someone else was going to do it. Then again, the thought of another Trilogy of Live Action Transformers Movies are already a terrifying concept to think about...

Thing is I don't actually mind the Transformers films *runs for cover, waits for things to calm down, returns*

Because for me when the Transformers were on screen doing their thing it was great fun. When humans were doing there thing you might have well have gone to sleep.

Seriously who gave a crap about Shia getting a job after college? NO ONE!!!!!!!!1!!!!1

Why? Because no-one is there to see Shia and his girlfriend (who aren't even that good looking), they go and watch Transformers to watch them fight each other.

If Bay understands this and makes the next one purely about the Transformers he has my blessing.

I'm actually excited for more of Bay's Transformers movies! I don't understand all the Transformers hate. I grew up with the cartoon show and I loved Bay's Transformers films... are people THAT upset that Sideswipe was painted grey in the movies? or that Ironhide was black? or that Starscream's face/paint job is completely different than the animated cartoon?
I enjoy many of Bay's other films, but Transformers was handled wrong. I'm a G1 fan, but not a purist. I don't need the exact same voice actors or the original vehicle modes. That said, If you're going to use a certain character, keep to the spirit of the character. I have nothing against the Sideswipe character in the movie, but there was nothing that connected him to his comic or cartoon origins; They made Ironhide a British Pick-up in the movie, but he was a loyal friend of Primes and had a "shoot first" cranky attitude, like his original character. I understand it takes a lot of work to put these robots on screen with live actors and have it look good. But when you have to pad the movie with, and focus on, human characters we can see in any other movie, I would rather the whole thing be done in cg, so they can get it right.

More explosions.

I don't really care despite growing up with the franchise. I hate the people who demonize Micheal Bay for no reason. He's not directing master pieces. Its just eye candy, which I don't mind either.
+1 from me. I have similar sentiments.

Nice to be in the Majority for once. And before anyone wants to challenge that statement, just think it over; there is a reason the Transformer movies make bank.

Oh great. More pathetic attempts at romance, more explosions just cos and more of the incredibly grating EVERYTHING AMERICA DOES IS AWESOME COS IT'S AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

Bay shouldn't be allowed to direct films, he's a damned toddler, waddling onto sets and burbling pretty noises while his finger roots around his nasal cavity for the next meal. Fuck's sake Hollywood, I know you just want money but come on, there are much more competent directors out there who shit all over Bay and can produce an action heavy film without making it terrible.

I can't claim to be a huge fan of the original Transformers franchise, but I have a healthy respect for Optimus, Megatron, and the others (that I can actually recall) as pop-culture staples. So when I first heard about these movie, I was somewhat interested. Now, 3 films later (having only heard of what happened in 3), I've given up. Ask me after the first one and I would've said I looked forward to Unicron at some point, but even he's lost the appeal of redeeming the series via awesomeness. And even replacing Lebouf with freakin' Jason Statham won't convince me otherwise. It will still make money, it will still make stupid Camaro and Burger King commercials, it will still continue being the worst thing the magnificent Hugo Weaving has ever been part of. It's over and I just don't care anymore.

I think one day the suits in Hollywood were looking at TV to see what the hot trend was and they got the idea that if Jersey Shore is a hit TV show then stupid people with bad taste are the people they want to market films to. Why bother with people who might be looking for plot and character when people who say "Hey bro that part where stuff blew up was bitching wasn't it bro" will gladly throw out money to see whatever is over marketed.

Just tired of films where everything can be the lowest common denominator as long as the special effects are not. I miss that Hollywood where story, characters and effects could be rolled together into an all around pleasing film for just about everyone. Or that Hollywood that had the crazy idea of films can be made for both old fans and new fans not just one or the other.

Unfortunately, as long as you can make millions upon millions with nothing but shiny graphics, they will persist.

I'm personally going to continue my streak of not watching the Transformers movies, and maybe if others did it...Oh, who am I kidding? As long as they're shiny, they'll sell.

Bay, you lying wankmonkey! Didn't you promise that Bark At The Moon was going to be the last of this crap?!

One of these days one of his $300 million turds is going to bomb and pull some studio into oblivion in the process.
I agree, except for the no stupid human characters. Every second episode Miko runs through the bridge to see the action and ends up causing a ton of trouble for the Autobots.
Well that actually fits with her character and i give them a lot of leeway simply for not being shia labouf or the living real doll, but they can be kinda dumb.

Please, just no one tell Michael Bay how awesome the Swat Cats were.
Or, you know, anything ever again.
