As far as I can tell, you seem to be getting the same amount of content as halo 3. Plenty of people bought that game at full price.

Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, it was stated by bungie when they announced it for the people who don't know the halo lore. They are also known as helljumpers.

Im sorry? They are asking $120 (AU) for this? I think they need to do more to justify the price, cause even im skeptical for this. As I have all the maps that are available already, so that is not worth it, maybe if they maintained the original price they would have more sales and customers... not deterring some of them.

Nahy.

Be fair guys....Bungie is not owned by Microsoft anymore and needs to make a living. I admit that I am a huge Halo fan and I WILL be getting the ODST Collectors Edition for sure. I have no problem paying for quality.

Stop the whining. Get jobs.

You just know a price ain't right if they have to "defend" it.

I dont blame Microsoft at all-yes its taking the piss, but then everytime they sick up another couple of multiplayer maps on Xbox live everyone cheers and produces their wallets. If your going to cover your arse in offal and go swimming in shark infested waters, you cant really complain when you come out with one arsecheek less than when you went in. At least they aren't splitting core elements of the game up and selling them seperatly like those arseholes Capcom did with Resi5 multiplayer. If we keep paying out, they'll keep pulling this bullshit.

I wouldn't count on it soon? Do you know how long it took for Haze to come down in price?
We're comparing a PS3 game to a 360 game. First off, Blu Ray disks are more expensive to produce, and it's two different companies with different views on how a game should be sold.

ODST was originally intended as a small expansion, more of an experiment in game development for Bungie than a full retail release. During the mysterious sorcery of its development ODST became a full retail release, and thus it's only natural that consumers are expected to pay for a full retail release.

Do you think you'll still have the clarity of mind needed to use a neural interface when HLF comes out?

Does it really matter what ODST means? The title isn't Halo 3: Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, it's Halo 3: ODST.

Additionally the meaning of ODST is given in the gameplay trailer and within the first two sentences of the Halo 3: ODST article on Wikipedia.

I don't care it looks good and I don't have any of the map packs. And by the way, those of you boycotting are no better than the valve fans boycotting L4D2 because it was released quickly.
Actually, no. The Valve dilemma is: BAAAW, they aren't giving us the free content that they promised. Here, the argument is: BAAW, they're going to try to make us pay full price for a mission pack and the same multiplayer package all over again.

I don't really see a need to charge a full amount. It is an expansion pack for all intents and purposes. I'll try it, but I'm not gonna buy it till the price drops. And if that means waiting a while, I will.

It's just a cash cow.
So were Halo 2 and 3.
I respectfully disagree. They at least carried the story to it's climax and conclusion, and added other features such as live play and forge and other in game items, however much you use them is up for debate, but they had a reason to exist

Still not as expensive as the inFAMOUS copy selling for 74 euros at a store where I live...
Atleast that was a decent game. Nintendo had the audacity of demanding ?120 for a copy of Wii Fit for a while here.

Lol hell no i'm not buying this! The d*cks at bungie still haven't made the legendry maps free a year after they have dropped and I mistakenly bought the mythic maps thinking they would become so. No more money for you, Bungie!
...why should they be free anyway?
Well I mean, I play both PC games and 360 games, and I would be pissed the hell off if every class update for team fortress 2 cost 10 bucks, and you can't play any ranked matches if you don't have all the classes.

It's bullshit, that's what it is. I can't play any team slayer with my buddies, because only like 2 of us actually think that the mythic map pack is worth it. Trust me, it's not.

I love how Bungie claims that they "are now separate" from Microsoft, but still make games announced by, marketed by, and published by Microsoft.

You don't need any DLC to play team slayer...

Since 1$=1? this is way too much for some near-finished expansion pack. First L4D and now this?

I don't doubt that it'll probably be a high-quality Halo 3 experience,
that statement is 10000% grammatically incorrect. as the words high quality and experience can not be used in a positive light when the word halo is used

but we all know that gramers (if you dont know what that means watch nametags) will buy anything just as long as it has: halo, fifa, madden and gears of war slapped on the box. if this doesnt sell well i will stuff my xbox up my arse.
