The sad thing is the console will still sell relatively well when ignorant dudebros are going to dish out $500 so they can play the next COD and BF4.
Like it or not those so-called dude bros are bringing in piles of money to support your hobby, so perhaps acting like a jackass to them isn't the best course of action.
Agreed. Be rare to find one that even bothers to research a console before hand though. I already have 3 friends that have pre-ordered the xbone. They're not the brightest people.

That's smart; attempt to get into the 7th gen gaming race...but encourage people to STILL get your old console.

Seriously, he's pretty much telling me to not buy a One; to stick with my current console and save myself some money. Genius, I say.

So, apparently the position of President of Interactive Entertainment Business at MS doesn't contain tact, empathy, or the ability to not stick your foot in your mouth every time you open it in the job description.

Seriously, Microsoft. From a long-time XBox player. Feel free to shove your new console so far up your ass that you bump yourself in the forehead.

How has the PR department not told this guy to be quiet? He's gonna get himself promoted.
I fixed that for you.

But seriously, yeah. This guy doesn't have the basic sense that dissuading your base is a bad thing?

Wow, ain't this a big old fuck you to people who cant get an internet connection. Apparently Microsoft thinks we all have stable, high speed connections 24/7. While I do, quite a few of my friends don't. And its not like we live in the middle of no where.

INSTEAD of your new one.

When failing to make a case for why people need the upgrade.

I'm sure it could be a great service, but it doesn't change the fact that there is no reason to implement online requirements. God forbid someone use the online services your console provides because they want to and not because they have to.

There just isn't a good reason to alienate so many people. Yes, it is totally unreasonable a single player game to work offline when the hardware running it is right in front of you.

Oh boy.

I believe that this is the final middle finger to Xbone fans that have shoddy internet connections.

Ya know, I really don't want any one to support this console. Because when you buy an Xbone, you're supporting Microsoft's terrible, anti-consumer business practices.

C'mon, gais! Move over to the PS4 side! We have used games. :D

Kudos Microsoft for being both dismissive of your customers AND the necessity of your customers buying your newest product.

They've gone past sticking their feet in their mouths to lodging their knees in their nose.

I love this new console generation, I would never have expected this much industry bumbling.

I hope they fail and crash hard - all of them - because otherwise they'll remain convinced they can keep doing the same thing.

Ugh Microsoft, this guy is awful, I didn't think you could dig a deeper hole, but this man is going at it with a shovel alongside your excavators.

Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity. It's called Xbox 360.
Fortunately Microsoft, Sony will have a product that can be played offline by the time the Xbone comes out. It's called the PS4.

They're loving what we do
HA!

and they're smart
Smart enough to see through your bullshit Microsoft.

So they look at all these things and they say, 'Hey, is this going to impact me in a negative way?'
No we look at this and say, 'Hey, this is going to impact me in a negative way.'

And until you use it, it's really hard to understand what all the advantages are
So tell us Microsoft, what are the advantages of not being able to play your single player games because your internet is down?

That's like saying 'You're not allowed to drive your car because the stereo isn't working.'

So full of shit.

I think this was meant to come across as "If you don't have access to internet, we also have another great product, the xbox 360!" instead of how it is perceived by most. From what I've seen, they'll support the 360 a bit longer... could be a bit like the PS2 that got (some?) new games although the PS3 was out for some time already.
I don't care much either way but I enjoy them company peoples mess up.

So, how many countries did MS tell to fuck off and buy a 360?

Still like to see what german authorities will do to the xbone.

It's a good thing I never bought an Xbox ever. I just really hope it crashes and burns, despite if it has good exclusives. The console itself is terrible, and it deserves to go under on its own.

Did someone poison Microsoft's watering hole?

I'm beginning to be concerned for their health, between the mess of the reveal, this jerk and the other jerk Orth on twitter.

You know what Mattrick, I was at least willing to listen to your lame ass excuses and apologies maybe evengive you a chance to come back but now just...go.

Sony? Nintendo? Shall we start the negotiations?

This would be the hight of arrogance if the Xbone was the only console to be released this year.

However with the PS4 also coming out this year this is the hight of stupidity.

The unbridled audacity of this prick is just jaw dropping. Good god Microsoft, fire this guy.
