unlike the two games you used Mass Effect 2 has the cerberus network witch gives us all the same content. In other words bioware would in esance screw their loyal fan base they wont do this now they may make a few of the DLC packs free for them and while those of us who paid for them may be a little angrey it would be the best way for them to port it i mean if it aint broke why fix it?
What's a "Cerberus" network?

The only thing that is incongruous in your statement is that not all version will have the same content, since the PS3 will not have the carry over from ME1. In that case, it would be wise for EA Bioware to offer something in exchange (like additional content not seen in other versions). It really shouldn't anger their fans since they already experienced the game. Unlike say, Star Ocean 4, which angered the fans, since the actual fan base (on PS) was ignored for a solid year, meanwhile the game was met with mostly indifference on the XBox...

If you or anyone are really going to get angry over some extra content, then just buy the game on PS3. No one is stopping you.
the cerberus network is basicly mass effects version of the dragon age servers as in were all the dlc is kept and how you get the free dlc. So yeah most of us who bought the game for the 360 and PC will be pissed if the PS3 get exclusive contant and man if i owned it on the 360 why would i go buy it for my ps3?

BTW when i say exclusive contant im talking new weapons, armor, and non-begining missions. Not say a new begining were you chose what path your on to compensate for them not getting the firt game.

No no no no no. Microsoft just lost all credibility with their point there. Why do I say that, because I played both Mass Effects on my PC. And I enjoyed it quite a lot on my PC. Then later on I tried the X-Box version, and I felt it to be nearly unplayable.

Hahaha. Microsoft is grasping on straws. I've got friends who played ME2 and didn't care much for ME1.

I can't believe they forgot about the PC release. Is it even true?
It's just to hard to believe.

Microsoft didn't publish the PC version of Mass Effect, EA did. Therefore, apparently, it never happened in Microsoft Land.

I don't know this, but I read it: the reason that you get your crew-mate dossiers in 2 batches in Mass Effect 2 is because the 360 has to use two disks and can't force an install. If it were not for the limitations of the 360, you could recruit your crew in any order, which is why there exist sound files for Tali on Omega for Archangel's recruitment, for example. This would suggest that perhaps the PS3 would be a superior platform for enjoying Mass Effect games, if not for Microsoft's contractual arrangement to keep ME1 off of the PS3.

That's why I hate the idea of platform exclusives. You should buy a console, if you want one, based on the controller, the interface, the online stuff, the graphics hardware, the drive characteristics, etc. For a company to entice you to buy their equipment by paying game developers to not support the competing platforms is pathetic, like tying a pork chop around your kid's neck to get the dog to play with him.

Wait, you can read the books on the 360 too? That's hardcore man. Very hardcore.

Oh and nice one Microsoft for FORGETTING THE PC.
Was about to say this, I hate the way they are claiming it be an exclusive for the X-box weather or not it came out for pc. This is slightly annoying, I love the game on P.C. I wouldn't play it any other way.

So in Microsofts reality, the PC is not a gaming platform.
Sure. Who do they have to compete against for gaming and OS? Sure apple has what... 8% market share? No real contest there.

OT: This actually makes me sad, not because I think it's not fair or anything, but the idea of exclusives going away. Software should define which console you buy, and exclusives are the way to do that. It's okay Bioware, I still love you.... as long as you don't screw up SW:TOR.
exclusives are bad for customers, saying otherwise basically calls yourself out as a fanboy moron.

also linux is probably a more capable gaming platform than mac, its that bad.

Rather ironic you call me a "fanboy moron" in the same post as "keyboard and mouse fo' eva!" I'd make a pot and kettle reference, but more appropriately the raven calling the dove black... also, which company am I a fanboy of? Considering the only game I propped is for the PC... which you are a "fanboy moron" of yourself.

If you understood why I was saying exclusives shouldn't go away, you would think differently. My argument for exclusives is that hardware shouldn't be the number one reason you buy a game console. Sure it can double as a dvd/bluray reader, but what are the games on it?

Lets talk about the triple-A exclusives. A triple-A title will maximize the machine's current potential, and draw interest from people to purchasing that piece of hardware. When games are ported cross platform, because of the development time gone into the process of porting, the maximum effect is diminished. Barring errors and mistakes through a port, or certain exclusive content on a particular console, what incentive does a multi-platform game give to entice potential console purchasers to making a decision? Almost none.

Big triple-A exclusives are what should define consoles and be the incentive for console sales. Removing exclusivity, it reduces the machine's total potential, and doesn't help consoles sell.

Why would porting a game like Mass Effect be worse on a console with more blu-ray disc space? Surely they can cram better graphics, more extras etc onto a blu-ray!

I will still get this despite not playing ME1, if it mattered THAT much about carrying a save over then they would have made a ME1 for the PS3!

EDIT: Ok! Stop quoting me saying I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm talking about! It's a personal opinion!
You're not stupid nor an idiot. It's funny how well you predicted the future :)

I don,t see why not?
in some aspects the PS3 is more powerful then the 360.
Also the PS3 has BR support which means they can stuff more content on one disc.
