Did anyone see that article? A friend showed it to me, and it is the comparison/analysis of multiplat game sales (retail and online I think), and it just goes to show how full of shit this Aaron Greenberg guy really is. I don't mean to hijack the thread with this, because I'm sure we all know that he's just paid to be a fanboy so that they get more shares, but if anyone actually gives a shit about the NA market then check it out.

The TLDR is that it's damn near even but only a few franchises surpass the PS3, like CoD, and sports games.

I also want to know why greenberg thought a damn-near-forgettable franchise like killzone had a chance of even getting close to outselling GTA IV, so I say save the boasting for something like GoW III.

Yeah really, damn kids playing with their Wii all day haha. Seriously, console bashing is stupid and I never honestly got it, I always respond with some old school game system quote to null any argument because I'm tired of people saying "My system can kick your systems ass 'cause my mommy bought mine for ME". Whatever system you enjoy is all that's important, no console rep or regular person is going to make me change my mind (unless they can provide a graph and flow chart providing proof they infact have blast processing like Genesis then I'm all ears).

Look enjoy your "next gen systems" the silly PS3 and Xbox 360 the pros play the Atari 7800 Pro System, because Atari made it clear who is the best with their atari 7800, and that's the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Considering Killzone 2's NPD sales data so far is only for a few days, Greenberg may be jumping the gun a bit. The inflammatory comments didn't stop there though, as he then went straight for the PS3's jugular, attacking the system's slipping sales.

This. Killzone was released only a few days before the NPD figures were taken.
Also, the NPDs are just for North America.
Lastly, Aaron Greenberg is a douche.

They need to focus on bringing the games out. I see Sony bringing the games heck I even see that NG2 is getting a PS3 version, I don't see shit from MS. Microsoft please stfu and bring out Alan Wake, or something else we have not heard of yet. Heck bust out another Tales game, Tales of Vesperia is actually worth buying!


Ps. The fact that they cannot kill thier only direct competitor when they have units that are HALF THE PRICE of the competitor's just shows how much this guy and MS' Games division fails at life on all possible levels.

This is rich. Executive from the greedy, backstabbing software company who made a loud, broken, ugly console gloats over the only opponent they can claim any kind of success over, whose chip design they partially ripped off. I'm heartened that neither Sony or Nintendo respond to Microsoft's vain, abrasive insults with more of the same. I have been steadily losing respect for Microsoft since windows 3.1....that trend has only accelerated as years pass.
