Steve Blum (i.e. Spike "motherfucking" Speigel and Garcia "fucking" Hotspur, respecively) did the voice for Grunt in Mass Effect 2

He also did Oghren in Dragon Age Origins. Having a Krogan in DA, now that would be awesome.

Was watching someone play Uncharted 2 and I knew Steve Valentine voiced someone but then Claudia Black turned up too ... my favourite game is Dragon Age: Origins so that sort of blew my mind. They sound exactly as they do in DA:O - close your eyes and you can creep yourself out by thinking Alistair and Morrigan are flirting.

EDIT: Oh, looking at his IMDb page, the guy also apparently did the voice of the Prince from the Prince of Persia games. Goddamn.

Yuri Lowenthal? To my slight surprise, he also voiced Yosuke from Persona 4. It's a small world (for voice actors).

Anyway, recently I was kinda taken aback when I saw Mary Elizabeth McGlynn credited as a voice director in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. I know her better as a singer and a voice actor, but apparently she does everything else as well.

Billy West is better than DiMaggio and DiMaggio knows it (and he often jokes about it - signing his autograph so big so West can't fit his on). DiMaggo is great, but he will always be Dr. Draken to me. DiMaggio is also the Han Solo type character in the new Star Wars game coming out from the Mass Effect people (totally blanking right now).

Also Jen Taylor = Cortana = Zoey. I could listen to that nasally voice all day long.

Before that, finding out that the voice of the Joker from the 90s Batman Animated series (and Arkham Asylum/City) was Mark Hamil.

He was also the voice of Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

EDIT: Alyson Stoner was the voice for Kairi in Kingdom Hearts and is the voice of Isabella in Phineas & Ferb.

I thought Kairi was played by Hayden Panettiere of Heroes? That was a pretty big revelation when I found that one out...

Ahp, just looked it up, Alyson Stoner was indeed Kairi in Re: COM and Days. Did not know that.

heh, yeah, I had that revelation when I got into FiM as well; and now she's doing the voice of Harley Quin in Arkham City! Speaking of tara strong, I thought it was cool that her Batgirl voie was just her normal peaking voice, according to this interview I saw.

OT: Jennifer Hale is like..the god of voice actresses - everywhere, but unnoticed unless you go looking. Chick has got serious range, ya know.

I got a few, here are the ones I can think of so far:

1- While watching my brother play Tales of Symphonia for the first time, I couldn't help but think that Lloyd's voice sounded familiar... then it hit me: it's the same guy who voiced Robin in the Teen Titans cartoon!

2- I was eager for the Bleach cartoon to reach the States, especially to see who was playing the role of Ichigo, someone by the name of Johnny Yong Bosch. One morning, I happened to catch a rerun of Power Rangers on TV, and his name was in the credits. Cue the double-take.

3- Finally, apparently Eeyore is voiced by Peter Cullen, better known as the voice of Optimus Prime. Weird, huh?

EDIT: More revelations!

-I got into Freakazaoid after they stopped airing it, and quickly recognized the voice of Dexter Douglas (that is, Freakazaoid's hapless alter-ego) as one Danny Phantom. Go figure, huh?

-Also, I was surprised the learn that Steve Blum of all people voiced Guilmon in the English version of Digimon Tamers kinda different when compared to his usual roles...

-Ever watch the movie HOOK (Y'know, with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman? Turns out the kid who played him would later go on to voice characters like Jake Long and Prince Zuko... wow...

I had always held the opinion that Nolan North was a fairly bland, 1 dimensional voice actor. That is, until I found out that he played the corrupted cores in Portal 2. Seriously, Nolan fucking North gave us the Space Core. I now love him.

I find it funny that a lot of people mention people who have done English dubs on anime/characters when I only recognise them as their Japanese voice actors

A while ago, I replayed Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, one of my favorite games as a kid. When I got to this one level, one of the voices sounded very familiar, it was Spongebob Squarepants' voice. So I checked, and not only was Tom Kenny in that game, he was also Spyro the freaking Dragon!
He also dominated the majority my childhood.
Another one I found was that the voice actress of Spike from MLP:FIM was also the English voice of Near from Death Note 0.o

I just found out Ron Perlman did voice acting for Avatar: The Last Air Bender and did Slade in Teen Titans.
