I believe they may be referring to the latest generation of 4chan users.Aaron Kuehmichel said:'newfags'? What the fuck is 'newfags'? Who are these genetically-recessive antisocial fucktards?
I was going to make a snarky comment along these lines, but I think yours was better.ddq5 said:I can't believe these people. That's some of the craziest logic I've ever heard. It's like punching your baker because he isn't making your cake fast enough.Andy Chalk said:You're just a bunch of dicks.
Didn't you read it?Senrab said:4chan thread claiming responsibility for the attack.... Yep. 4chan had nothing to do with this.
The system must have some holes in it. The tech. is still relatively new.joebear15 said:yea but I think hes just going to hope that they go away, annons generally have an attention span of 4 seconds and thell probibly just end up using all those bots on the RIAA,MPAA and all those other companys their at war with now.Prof. Monkeypox said:Unfortunately, you're right. They've got his scent now, they won't leave him alone. Honestly though, I'd be disappointed to lose contact with Minecraft if he took down the servers, but I would understand that he needed to make his point to these assholes.joebear15 said:if he did that they would go after him personally with their 80k bots, would you really wish that on him.WanderFreak said:I hope he shuts down Minecraft completely for a while.
Don't like the rate I update so much you're willing to attack me?
Fine, you get NOTHING you ungrateful little shits.
Oh darn, all those bots you have to crash my servers don't have anything to crash now do they.
The only thing that confuses be is how these group of particurly stupid morons got a hold of a bot net this large and why law enforcment seems to fail at aphending even the dumbest of hackers.
Actually if you look at his twitter he spent the whole day signing papers somewhere. So no, you are wrong, he wasn't coding beforehand. He wouldn't know how to cope with a DDoS attack, he has passed the problem on to someone else. After 2 months of barely any updates it is about time he worked on a "gigantic update" frankly. Hate it or not, doing this is certainly a way for the hackers to get noticed.TheMadTypist said:No they didn't, he was coding before hand. He had to stop coding to work on this problem. What part of "making gigantic Halloween update" do you, and also these attackers, not get? They're not getting what they wanted, they just slowed down what they wanted to happen.Paddin said::snip:

He says "I?ll get back to coding". Seems that the hackers are getting what they wanted.
