Curious, you could use that argument for any game. I can do this too... "look at Morrowind, all you do is kill monsters and walk in forests. It's so useless and serves no purpose!"Mazty said:The only game part about MC is the killing monsters as the buildings serve no purpose.TheYellowCellPhone said:I've been staring at this post for a bit now and I'm wondering where you pulled that idea out of...Mazty said:Its free for students to download, not limited to your class.
So the construction part of Minecraft isn't a game then?
So then shouldn't those people move on to Blender or 3DS Max?
Because there's more to Minecraft than construction. You said so yourself, there's monsters in it, does 3DS Max have monsters? What about water, lava, natural cave systems, crafting, etc.?If you play it for the construction, well if you think 3DS max isn't a game, why is MC if you play it just for the purpose of construction?
Again, you stand in the shelter of your 3D editing programs and Morrowind. How predictable. If you want to make shit and walk about it, Blender/3DS Max + Morrowind is infinitely better and cheaper. MC is just terrible.
Before I leave and add you to my ignore list, realize this: Not everyone plays it just for construction. I play it for the struggle of survival, the mining, the exploration, the building of inventions using redstone and water. The construction I just barely use, only for making a base the first two nights. I'd like to see your precious 3d software do that.
And maybe people enjoy gathering materials for construction, or being able to walk through their buildings. If they want instant and sure, better looking structures, then they can get your precious 3D software.
You're not worth my time. Does it not concern you just how many people disagree with this randomass comparison of Minecraft to 3DS Max? Think about this, when's the last time someone changed your opinion on anything? I certainly hope you didn't have to think for that long to think of something.
