Aww she was to mediocre in every other way to get a scholarship but heck all you have to do is become Miss. America and you can get a scholarship by just looking pretty. Umm honey there are less degrading ways to afford college in my book... like becoming a stripper.

I'm not really a fan of strip clubs but at least strippers are upfront with why they are stripping, and without the false role model pretenses which results in a lot of young girls dreams being destroyed because they aren't camera friendly enough to be Miss. Useless America

I'm from America also, and I hadn't the slightest clue that the miss america thing was currently taking place... Then again, I NEVER know when these things are taking place... Goes to show how much their statements really matter after winning that little crown of theirs... As far as I see it anyway...

As a young man in a small English town I know personally that a huge cause of vandalism, violence and "trouble youth" is young people hanging around ON THE STREETS with nothing to do.

PLAY WHAT!?? I can guarantee "play" will quickly become "hey, lets burn some shit" and generally be a menace to society. At least with video games young people can channel their youthful tenancies for wanton destruction into blowing up nazis, zombies, aliens, etc.

I've seen the same old conservatives ***** and complain about youth hanging around and being a nuisance yet they oppose the construction or funding of any facilities that will entertain these kids. Idle hands are the devil's play things.

Who ever said that video games and outside stick-beatings were mutually exclusive? They certainly weren't when I was growing up (clarification: not at the same time). And if you're really ingenious, you can incorporate aspects of both. Like, say, paintball.
