At least her opinion weighs nowhere near as much as Atkinson's, so we don't need to be concerned at all.

Also, she gets a little credit in my eyes for not talking about dreaming to save the world, feed the hungry and cure the sick :S

Must games journalists take every opportunity to find any public figure who has a negative opinion of gaming & counter their line of argument by mock them?
She started it....

I just think it's silly to assume video games are the route of all social problems. I'm not crazy about MacDonalds but I know it's not the route of why people are overweight. Celebs should not be commenting on things they know nothing about. It's her pandering to the old timey values that the exploitive contest holds in regard. Video games are bad but objectifying women is ok. In what capacity does this make sense?

Great, we're getting attacked by the witless wonder. Some brain dead model thinks she can sort out world affairs, when the only thing she's ever done is look pretty and worrying that going outside would remove one of her fifty layers of make up.

I shouldn't really be getting angry I suppose. She'll be forgotten by tomorrow anyway.

Yeeees. That's right. Winning a competetion based on your body and looks makes your opinion worthwhile.

Outside is overrated. I was outside half an hour ago when I locked myself out of the house after forgetting to put my keys in my cold weather jacket this morning (thanks outside!). It was cold, dark, and windy. Then again Lord of the Rings was filmed outside so you can give it that.

That's not true. I'm older than her and I'm lazy as hell. Also we didn't have sticks we had sega's lock on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Lock-On

What century is this girl from?
Yeah! You're right. She's 22 for crying out loud. When I was young I had my trusty C64, Transformers, Action Man, and play park nearby to entertain me without the need for sticks.
You sound like you live in Norway or Mordor (same thing, really - generally barren, uninviting, dark and depressing.) If so, greetings fellow Norwegian

That's right, kids: When all else fails, you can put on a bikini, climb up on a stage and shake your moneymaker for Rush Limbaugh. Dare to dream!

Can't anyone just get around the fact that a well rounded personality might include both going outside AND playing video games?

Im just impressed she can string together words into sentances.
Yeah, thats not exactly a standard beauty pageant participants are held to. She really excels in that!!!

OT: Because "Miss America" is a glorious podium for inciting change in the mindset of America. Good luck with that *****. Oh and hey, did you know that over 9000 guys wanked off to you when you won. LOL.

I love how riled people have gotten about this. It's some airheaded clod giving a speech written by someone else. It's not her opinion but hell, even if it was, her opinion is worth fuck all. Rise above it, people.
