I think it's twofold really.... the latest generation of games are some of the best we've ever seen... but at the same time, devs are also slowly taking away stuff we as gamers used to love for the purpose of making more money....

like offline co-op for example.... where the hell did that go?

Or rewarding gamers for having money / playing longer by making an unbalanced game. I'm looking at you CoD and NHL 10 :).

So I think ultimately this generation of games is better but there are still things developers do to piss people off and now that we have the internet we can collectively ***** and moan about it. What we SHOULD be doing is talking with our wallets.

Thanks...Snatcher was one of my favourite games and still is to this day. You could say that it was a poor game really as it had no real animation or gameplay mechanics. As far as intuitive controls go, well, look and walk were amongst the great options available! The story was what i liked but that was hardly original, stealing ideas from Blade Runner and Terminator to mention but a few. Right, im rambling...what i am trying to say is that I enjoyed it despite its flaws and didn't linger on them and enjoyed the creators "vision" rather than continually pick holes and eventually hate it.
Yeah, I usually don't like games like that, where you have to keep checking every little thing to progress, especially with how many times you have to check the same things over an over at some points in SNATCHER, but the story started to get really interesting, and after a certain point, I got hooked until the ending. Alot of people to like to point out all the flaws in the game, but I think it was good overall.

I ended up reading that entire thing in Prof. Farnsworth's voice.
I'm getting this a lot. I feel like I'm letting everyone down because I haven't studied his cadence and vocabulary extensively. I should really be writing exactly like he speaks in order to facilitate the illusion.

Good news, everyone!
