no idea how it works for brazil, but amazon (us, maybe north america even?) has it for 20 bucks here:tautologico said:Will they ever release a digital version of this game for sale? It's hard to find a copy down here, and I'd like to play it.
but the option is still there to have your character be whoever, in both games. why is it such a problem that the writers picked one that they thought was canon? it doesn't line up with your "canon", but that doesn't make either or any more/less preferable.Vault101 said:snipping small spoilers here .Kaleion said:snip.
Neither have I but it sounds similar enough.Vault101 said:I haven't played the ME3 extended cut.
Oh yeah that...Vault101 said:But it's more that events and characters from KOTOR have been "canonised" as a certain way
so Revan's always going to be a guy and apparently someone you kill in the old republic
not very dignified end is it?
Then I probably shouldn't tell you that "The Exile" (the main character in KoTOR 2) is canonically female, her name being Meetra Surik, and Revan being male was also established in the same novel, titled "Revan". If you're a star wars fan, and a fan of Drew Karpyshyn's writing/games, read it.Kaleion said:
If you play a male revan who is light side in KoTOR 1, and Female Lightside in KoTOR2, you're following Star Wars cannon.Vault101 said:wow they finally did it.....
not sure Id want to play KOTOR...what with everything I do feeling pointless in the end
yes..even moreso than that other game
Oh no! My story it's been ruined!aceman67 said:Then I probably shouldn't tell you that "The Exile" (the main character in KoTOR 2) is canonically female, her name being Meetra Surik, and Revan being male was also established in the same novel, titled "Revan". In fact, forget the restoration project and blackjack! Eh, screw the whole thing.Irridium said:Nope. From what I gathered these people got tired of Team Gizka taking so long, so they started their own restoration project.frizzlebyte said:Hang on, is this related to the Team Gizka Restoration Mod? I followed that thing for sooooo long.
Anyway, this is great. I liked KOTOR 2, and this just makes it even better.
With blackjack, and hookers.
Wait, I thought KOTOR II was still canon, as much as the 1st one.Irridium said:Awesomesauce. Played through when it was 1.6, will be great to see what else was added. And fixed, for that matter. Hopefully they fixed the bug where sometimes conversations would bug out and speed right through in under a second. That was a fun one.
Now, to download, and play. Again. And again. And a few more times, just for good measure.
I really love this game, is what I'm saying. Best piece of Star Wars media. That I've experienced, at least. Granted it kind of helped that the story is more or less "Planescape Torment Star Wars Edition", but eh, I'll let it slide since it actually made Star Wars interesting and more than "good vs. evil. Again."
And of course the game is more or less considered non-canon by Lucasarts, which we see in full in The Old Republic. Because god forbid Star Wars has a story and characters that makes you think about the universe in new and interesting ways.
Why yes, I am rather bitter.
Yeah, I'm sure it is, since that Revan novel ties the two games CANONICAL story endings together, kind of like a fine Persian rug in an apartment.aceman67 said:Then I probably shouldn't tell you that "The Exile" (the main character in KoTOR 2) is canonically female, her name being Meetra Surik, and Revan being male was also established in the same novel, titled "Revan". Steam has it available for download.SacremPyrobolum said:That's great!
Only trouble is, this game fell of the face of the Earth.
I can't find it anywhere!
Oh, wait, I should have looked more carefully.
Awkward....
Anyway, can I download it from Amazon or do I have to purchase a hard copy.
I don't think this computer ever even had a disk in it before...
