EA won't be laughing when MW3 outsells Battlefield by 10 to 1.

Focus on getting us 60FPS on consoles instead of taking the piss out of a game that kicked your ass last year.

EDIT: Wow, some people are not wearing their clever hats today. I like both games. I don't care which sells more. EA just shouldn't throw rocks when they keep getting bested sales wise, which is what both companies care about.

You were actually taken in by that? That disgusts me that somebody actually fell for that marketing ploy. That's just plain sad. Herp and derp sir. Herp and derp.

Indeed, it'd be a shame and an incomplete joke if there were no dinosaurs to be seen on this particular website. I still don't understand how developers fail to see the importance of dinosaurs in their games.

>implying that having 60 fps (which probably isn't the case)
is better than having a fun balanced multiplayer experience which call of duty has failed to deliver?

On topic: kinda odd but worth pointing out when you go to this address www.modernwarfare3.com/game.html

you get a ea.com error could just be because of the redirect not being able to find away to redirect that address, but it may also mean ea is behind the domain

who knows..

Cheeky, but I wish both EA and Activision would just let their products speak for themselves. The bickering between them is pitiful.

Edit: I should also add that the bickering between Modern Warfare and Battlefield fans is equally pitiful.

Implying that it's the reason COD feels good to so many people and they keep going back to it.

EA, it they're involved, are massive trolls. I do hope this was actually EA. Maybe they're marketing division has been fixed.
Hehe...

Im not sure if EA has fully understood what Extra Credits was getting at with that one episode. But its funny (if it is actually EA) as hell.

understandable

it is sad to say that even IF modern warfare 3 was a terrible game got a crap reviews and was just rubbish it would still sell like crazy because of the name

I just hope that mw3 is a more polished game than the previous titles and that battlefield 3 gets the recognition the series deserves

Exactly. EA talks a big game, but their numbers tell the real story.

OT: Personally, I enjoy both series'. I see this kind of crap and it just makes me realize how immature the gaming industry, its customers, truly are.

One step forward, two steps back.

They do infact highlight a video (well, it's on the main feed thing, tab 5 or something) that features around 30 seconds of dinosaur right from the get-go - I'd say that that's a good example of listening to the fans ;)

If that's EA... Well then it's hilarious.

Because that means that EA is once again all talk and I'll laugh when they get raped in sales. Who remembers 'MoH is going to be bigger than CoD'? Classic EA.

In the long run, the guys at Activision will be too busy diving into pools of money to give a shit.

Well, my immediate guess would be that it's a cybersquatting gimmick. It's a fairly routine practice for people to buy predict and buy domain names for products or celebrities, and then sell the .com name to the person or company for millions. How successful this is depends a lot on the state, country of residence of the domain name holder, and other factors. The results in celebrities and companies forcing cybersquatters to give up a name have been mixed.

At any rate, the idea here is probably that the Modern Warfare 3 domain name is the one that people are obviously going to use searching for the game. The owner of the domain name putting in re-directs that aren't flattering to the game increases the chances of Activision feeling like it needs to pay him to get the domain name, as opposed to simply coming up with a differant name and promoting that instead which is what a lot of people and companies do.

EA's "style" in bad marketing stunts (which admittedly worked in generating attention) is a bit differant than what we're seeing here. Not to mention that I don't think either EA or Activision really have much to gain by getting that nasty, their rivalry is the sort where by keeping it notable but fairly low key overall they can generated attention and both make money.

OUT! OUT /B/TARD OUT!

jking just don't ever do that again.

OT: I love it. I've hated COD ever since the fanbase started getting out of control. The game itself is amazing, but I can't stand hearing about it every five seconds.
