Can't be EA or DICE. They're petty, sure, building all of their marketing on the comparison of BF3 to MW3, sure... but this would be just too fucking petty.

So, yeah, safe to assume it's a disgruntled MW2 customer.

Boo-hoo, sir. Boo-hoo.

I wouldn't be surprised if a BF fan did this. BF has a god awful fanbase, and it wouldn't be beyond them to pull a stunt like this, especially since their so fucking proud of their game for the simple reason that it isn't COD.

>implying that having 60 fps (which probably isn't the case)
is better than having a fun balanced multiplayer experience which call of duty has failed to deliver?

On topic: kinda odd but worth pointing out when you go to this address www.modernwarfare3.com/game.html

you get a ea.com error could just be because of the redirect not being able to find away to redirect that address, but it may also mean ea is behind the domain

who knows..
OUT! OUT /B/TARD OUT!

jking just don't ever do that again.

OT: I love it. I've hated COD ever since the fanbase started getting out of control. The game itself is amazing, but I can't stand hearing about it every five seconds.
>implying that >implying came from /b/ and /b/ alone and isn't used on other websites at all *rolls eyes*

OT: I'm kinda hoping this is EA. It'd definitely earn even more respect from me. They don't seem to mind pissing off a few people for the merriment of many.

Heh.. Heh, heh....
But seriously, if it really is EA, I hope they have their houses burned for being so stupidly annoying.

The hate on these forums for the term >implying and how people immediately accuse the user of being a /b/tard and the fact that being a user of 4chan is a bad thing is ridiculous

I highly doubt this was EA, it shows actual thought and flair rather than their usual less... entertaining tactics. Either way, bloody brilliant.

Dude, it was like one guy (who already has 4 bars on his forum health meter for things like this) . large portions of The Escapsit frequent the 'chans. But you have to accept the negative stigma that comes with 4chan because of /b/, it is found everywhere on the internet.

Having said that, using >implying instead of a fully formed response may be looked down on by some as the forum posts here tend to be written in full.

Kinda reminds me of what happened with Rainbow Six 3 [http://money.cnn.com/2004/01/05/commentary/game_over/column_gaming/index.htm] back in the day (though this is not quite as bad).

I agree, If the only 2 buttons i will have to push are Aim and Shoot, then the aiming and shooting had better look pretty!

We'll it's no secret that you love CoD, but I think Battlefield has gotten to the point where it deserves to be taken just as seriously as Call of Duty. Bad Company 2 qualified as a great game [http://au.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/battlefieldbadcompany2/review.html?mode=web&tag=scoresummary%3Bcritic-score] from the ratings it received last year and it's suburb multiplayer really resonated with a large group of people across all platforms (a group that may very well be as large as the CoD MP fans). Its only lacking feature was it's mediocre singleplayer campaign. And why bother with 60FPS when Digital Illusions are breaking down the competition with Frostbite 2.0:

I play BC2 because it forces me into a thrilling and realistic battlefield and gives you a sense of purpose with each of the unique classes. Not many things get you huffed up MiracleOfSound, but it's clear that you have an axe to grind with either EA or Battlefield.

You were actually taken in by that? That disgusts me that somebody actually fell for that marketing ploy. That's just plain sad. Herp and derp sir. Herp and derp.
Excuse me?

I've been saying this for the last 2 years. Ask anyone who knows me.

Herp fucking derp yourself.
So for two years you've been bragging about a feature any PC gamer can achieve, because they are using a 10 year old engine that they haven't modified in the least bit since CoD4:MW came out in 2007?

And you feel proud of this fact?

Yeah, I could run original Doom at 60 frames per second right now on anything. Does that somehow make the game better?

Because that means that EA is once again all talk and I'll laugh when they get raped in sales. Who remembers 'MoH is going to be bigger than CoD'? Classic EA.

In the long run, the guys at Activision will be too busy diving into pools of money to give a shit.
Up until they run CoD into the ground just like Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero. Or have we forgotten those franchises this much? In which case my point is proven even more. And read above, Activision is too busy bragging about optimizing 10 year old engines to implement any real changes or improvements.

I like both games dude, but I'd be willing to bet money that BF3 won't even make a dent on MW3 sales wise.

Bragging? What planet are you on? Why would I brag about Call Of Duty, I don't make it - it's not my child.

I don't give a shit which game is better or sells better.

I'm simply stating that any game that wants to beat it sales-wise is almost certainly going to have to run at 60FPS on consoles.

By the way I played Doom when it first came out on my PC. And it's still an awesome game.

Eh, originally I was stoked to buy BF3 just as much as MW3 because it looks amazing, but the closer we get to launch the more the BF3 fanboys have put me off it. I'm slowly sliding more towards "rent" than buy - something I'm sure glad I did with MoH, the last supposed "CoD killer".

Its ironic how such a big publisher is getting screwed over by simply being slow on the internet hahaha :D

p.p: I dont really think it would be a EA stunt but hey. . . who knows. When billions of $$$ are at stake i wont be surprised if they bomb each other X_X
