Molyneux Calls Fable 2 Messy and Rushed

The second one may have weakened it as a series, but Fable as a game (Fable 1) was pure awesomeness. The story on the first was fairly original, this must be admitted.The Amazing Tea Alligator said:

Okay, Pete, I will look at Fable 3 with hopes that it's better in many ways than Fable 2.
I enjoyed Fable 2 progressively less as I played through it. I earned too much money (before the end of the game) and it effectively broke the game. The jobs which earned you more money than quest rewards broke the game. I can...kinda forgive the ending, I suppose.
I did find the game enjoyable - even though it cooked my Xbox because the DVD drive span too fast.
But the main thing wrong with Fable 2 - The laggy as hell menu screens (even after a patch, if I recall). If they are no more (and the weird room-menu thing I've read about is not horrible broken either) then they may yet take my money for Fable 3.
BUT With Fallout: New Vegas, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Medal of Honor and Halo: Reach all out in Autumn then Fable 3 is going to have to be pretty spectacular to make me buy it anywhere near it's release.

Molyneux has before pointed out the flaws of his game, he's one of the first to do so.
Where he falls down is his ambition is in competition with the release date of the game and ends up having to release a half finished game.
His first game (Populous) actually benefited from this in a bizarre twist of fate because he was unable to make an engine to create the land at the start of the game so he got the player to do it for him. This turned out to be one of it's biggest selling points.
I like Peter Molyneux, he might be a bit mad, but at least someone in the video game industry outside of Bioware is trying to breath some emotions into the medium that aren't kill, stomp, maim, kill some more and then go fishing (Cookie for the reference).
The only thing i didn't like about Fable 2 was the end. Even though Lucien didn't have any powers i was still expecting some kind of fight. I loved the fight with Jack of Blades at the end of the first Fable and i think the ending of Fable 2 could have been so much better if it had some sort of fight.
What's a russian shot putter? Also, Tony Hawk American Wasteland had virtually no load screens, I don't see why they can't do the same
I hope Fable 3 is better, I really do.

Also I do agree about the female character. The reason I picked female is because I wanted to play a female! They were one step away from looking like that Irish tranny who lived with the hobs.

He has been promising the moon from before Black and White and has giving a generic game every single time
