Just becuase he likes playing videogames it doesn't make evil, even if he's playing GTA4 it does not mean he's gonna hotwire a car and shank an old lady. But the kid is a brat and she should have thrown him over her nee and spanked him.
Yeah, really. Calling the police? Come on! Just beat his ass and let the cops do the jobs they were actually intended to do, like preventing CRIME!majormayham2 said:Just becuase he likes playing videogames it doesn't make evil, even if he's playing GTA4 it does not mean he's gonna hotwire a car and shank an old lady. But... but... but...HELLGAS103 said:That's true, but I was just talking about if you wanted to throw it out the window. That IS a waste of $300. Just hide it or sell it lol.Flos said:I'd be more than willing to waste $300 if my child was so intent on disrespecting me.HELLGAS103 said:No that's wasting about $300.Flos said:Now, y'see, she should have just picked up the console and thrown it out the window.
That's parenting.
That mom sounds kind of...dumb. Calling the cops on your son b/c he wouldn't stop playing games? Really? And if he stayed up on a Friday night, unless he had something important to do on Saturday, so what?
You've lost if you think money is more important than your relationship with your child. The problem is the child not listening because of the system. Get rid of the system and the problem is on it's way to being resolved.
*chuckles* ...and he would've of gotten away it too if hadn't been for you meddling gamers!punkhead58 said:I think his mom is Jack Thompson in disguise.
I'm fine with people being Atheist. It's your choice, and Freedom of Religion is important. But what I can't stand is the Atheists who take every opportunity to bash religion. If I say "Oh my god" to something, and you say "Who doesnt exist!" (Ive actually had that happen before), your not clever, and your not expressing your religion, your trying to be an ass.asinann said:1. Unlikely since places that sell and rent games don't keep games where people can get them.chronobreak said:1. Stealing it

3. Borrowing it from a friend
4. Getting it as a gift
5. Paying for it
6. Finding it (slimmer chance than others)
2. Unlikely since there is a 93% compliance rate with the rating system in the US
3. This is the most likely, but if his mother didn't want him playing it and found out, she could have waited until he got up and taken the game out of the console and hidden it until he could take it back to the owner.
4. Maybe, but if the gift giver knew that the mother didn't want him to have it then it's a sign of disrespect to her from the giver and could be taken care of the same way as 3 without a return, maybe by snapping it in half.
5. See number 2
6. This is oddly more likely than any except gift and borrowing.
In most cases atheists know more about religion than the religious, we aren't blinded into only seeing the good points of one faith and can still acknowledge the failings in all of them. Christianity has some good points, the belief in charity and the big one (that is mostly preached and nearly never practiced) is to love thy neighbor as thyself.teh_pwning_dude said:you're an atheist, hence know nothing about religion,
But how many wars have been started by atheists trying to wipe out all religion? Now how many have been started by a religion trying to force it's views on people that don't want those views?
This woman overreacted, and if I had been the 911 dispatcher I would have told the woman that 911 wasn't there to help her raise her child. And if she called back, I would have sent the police to pick HER up for clogging the emergency lines, this was not an emergency. What if she had taken the last line and there had been a fire, or someone was being beaten or raped? This woman would be responsible for help not being available for a real problem. She has no parenting skills, and judging from her responses she really should take some parenting classes (I only think children should be taken in extreme cases.)
/facepalm."I have support from my church, but I'm alone," she told the Boston Herald. "I want to help my son, but I can't find a way."
Which demolishes ANY attempt to consider yourself fair, open-minded and tolerant.Disaster Button said:"I have support from my church"
Is it wrong that I read that and though, "well that explains everything"?
no one expects... THE SOCCER MUM INQUISITION!!!Lemon Of Life said:Or an inquizition. They'll come round and burn your consoles with holy fire, cleanse your PC with the hammers of heaven, bring salvation to your videogames with bless'd bricks.Acidwell said:That kid had better watch out his mother has got the support of her church and we know what happens when they start a crusade
