That mod wields a ban-sledgehammer.
(ban-Maul)
(Remote controlled banzilla)

Good to see actual decisive action. None of this piss poor "your banned for a day" bs.

I like the fact it says "The next time you violate the terms of use, you will never again be able to connect."

That made me laugh.
Unless medical science advances drastically before the end of the cheaters natural lifespan, it's unlikely they will be around long enough to play the game again. More companies should inflict bans like like this on those rotten cheaters...:)

Though there is the chance this was most likely just an error. It seems more plausible that they've just been banned until near the end of the year. Not as amusing though, granted.

Wow; they don't mess around with ban-hammers. They have the "You're grandchildren are gonna feel this" hammer.

Boom, headshot.

While the hacker will likely find a way around this, at least Capcom has shown quite clearly that they have a no-tolerance policy towards cheating. Which is good.

It'd be even more funny if they were serious. Come on, like they'd still exist in 8 millennia? Getting a bit over-confident now, aren't we?

He could wait for the year 9999 or he could just wait for Monster Hunter 4. I don't think this a banhammer so much as it is a ban nuke.

Microsoft already did this to the guy who got access to the Halo 3 Epsilon build.

EDIT: Even longer, actually.

Unfortunately, he'll only be able to play for those last couple weeks of the year. Because of the Y10k bug, the Wii will think it's 1/1/0000 and automatically ban him for another 10,000 years.

Sucks to be him, really.

A lot of places that have a "perma-ban" implement it by just setting a really long ban date. It's often easier then adding a separate condition to the banning process. They just didn't change their user message to something more reasonable after doing that kind of ban.

It is pretty funny though, especially the "next time" part of it.
