Usually when it's a lame tag, it's a lame guy behind it, so I don't pay much attention to them. The best gamer tag I ever saw, was the first time I went online, on Halo 3, I saw a guy named "wild zapdos". He sucked, but it was fun to throw stickys at him and pretend they were pokeballs.

I game as Grimplewurst... But hey, that's just me. I also once saw an Ishkabibble running around COD4, but that was a while ago. (Was also a little awesome). But I totally agree with all of the anti 1337 sentiment, especially in names. 1337 5p34k was cool in 2003, but no longer. Live in the now!

Oh, and protip for all those of you out there who are unhappy with your gamertags on XBL, but are too cheap to pay for the change: Just get everyone you know to submit complaints about it and before too long you should be forced to change your name.

Some guy one time was something along the lines of "JIMMY7777777777777...etc." Then there's what I like to call alphabet soup names, with leet and random x's. Fun to try to pronounce.

EDIT: There was also a pair in Halo 3 multi-team called "XXXSPONGExBOBXXX" and "XXXSQUIDxWARDXXX". They were just as young and annoying as you would think, and were one of the first people to mistake my gamertag as an alternate spelling of koala.

But someone told me that it was quite a common name, so I went with Maddness209, accidentally misspelt, but then I just went on with it. Even took it with me on to xbox360 for sometime, until I came up with the awesome "Broken Orange."

Still don't remember how I came up with it.
