Most Epic Boss Battle Music Ever

So I was playing the FFIV soundtrack at work doing my normal routine when the battle music for the four Elemental Archfiends starts playing. This immediately turned my office from boring everyday doldrums into something completely epic.

Every time this plays it takes me back to when I was a kid and how immersed this song made me feel every time I got into a battle with one of these guys. I have yet to find another track that even comes remotely close to this. Do any of you know of a battle song that you have a similar experience with or you feel may trump this one?

The boss music from Final Fantasy IX.

The dread and panic this instills is stunning, and it magically fits for every one of the fights. (By the way, how do you embed videos like that so they can play without having to open a new window?)

God help whichever soulless bastard posts 'One Winged Angel'...

EDIT: If I can throw in a 2nd place, I would have to go with the Ganon fight from Ocarina of Time. I simply love how it doesn't have to be climactic and triumphant, it just has to signify the fate-of-the-world importance of the fight.

I love the way the integration of music for laughing octopus in MGS4. Also, all the music for Shadow of the colossus. Doesn't get anymore epic then that.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing about "One Winged Angel" HumpinHop ;).

Maybe this doesn't entirely count as boss battle music, but I personally consider it as such for the game it comes from, and it has the right tone and feel, so:

Also, one of my favourite pieces of video game music from when I was a kid, even though this too, does not really qualify as boss battle music...

oh psh. One Winged Angel was cool back when we first heard it, way back in the day.

I'll admit it doesn't stand the test of time by any means, but I can't write it off entirely.

I wouldn't ask to write it off entirely, it's a great piece of music, but the insufferable FF7 fan base will laud it as transcendent to all other pieces ever conceived. It's a piece that's universally agreed upon as fantastic, so omitting it allows for more creative input.

Fighting the Hresvelgr in Ace Combat Zero; who cares it has puny escorts, its massive! The music helps build that up.

I can't possibly list all the tracks that SOTC uses during its boss battles, but I will have to say the SOTC boss battle music. Although my favourite track from that game is actually not boss music, so I guess that's a testament to how good the music was in that game, period.

I was going to say Liberi Fatali from FF VIII:

But then I realized it's not in a boss battle... :S So I guess I'll say One Winged Angel from FF VII instead:

The first time I played through Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, this was my favorite of the battle theme. It has so much emotion to the song, it is just amazin

Final Boss theme from Ys3 is made of pure awesome.

So is Cantata Mortis & God in Fire from Dissidia

Magus' theme from Chrono Trigger and World Revolution are also awesome.

And yea, chalk another one up for One Winged Angel (it's a brillain song regardless what anyone thinks), although I enjoy the Crisis Core rendition more.

And yea, Four Fiends is a classic, although i prefer the original SNES and Dissidia rendition more.

It's already been said, but One Winged Angel is the most epic, as upon hearing it for the first time it caused me to lose the fight because I was too overwhelmed by it's awesomeness.
