What are some of the most frustrating enemies you have ever faced in a video game?
It has to be that sumo from Vexx. The second time you fight him is so incredibly frustrating. Especially down to the last portion of the platform. When he does his charge move it's incredibly hard to dodge. And if it hits you, you die.
Frustrating...

What are your experiences with enemies you know are just there to make you angry? Or enemies you just don't like in general.

I have to say the Satyrs in God of War 3 have me quite irritated when I fight them.
Their constant interruption of my attacks is...well, frustrating as hell.
Kind of like trying to get out of a chinese finger trap with someone who twitches constantly.

Medusa Heads in Castlevania! No Contest!
Oh boy, I forgot all about those... I was doing a somewhat difficult platforming section in Portrait of Ruin, then they knock me all the way back down. Or, they turn me to stone and let me get beat up by other enemies. Buggers.

Ninja'd by bob, here.

Their attacks are erratic and normally flows from one to another. Ergo, you get knocked down, odds are they're going to hit you again.

The only way to really defeat them are to learn their attack patterns, or possess good reflexes. Maybe both, but I cannot express my love of sending those fuckers back to Hades again and again with mere words.

Satyrs in God of War. They were the only enemies to ever give me any trouble in that whole series.

And the bear bugs from Demon's Souls. They don't attack you often, but they're gigantic, you can't move past them and it literally took me 10 minutes to kill one and when they die, they explode and that explosion will kill you.

Lately its been Perfect Dark's enemy bots in challenge mode. (around ch. 16 and up) Those bots have near perfect accuracy and are not afraid to spawn kill you over and over. Hell they can even use guns like the magnum (slow rate of fire) as an automatic weapon.

God there so frustrating.

I'll also nominate the Red Eyed Knights in 1-3.
They're relatively simple to take down, mainly because all (save for maybe 3 or 4 of them) possess swords, as opposed to the life-ending spears.

But there's no denying the look of utter contempt that appears on somebody's face when you learn that you have to fight 3 of the fuckers to continue.
Rage ensues.

Gorgons on God of War 2, Satyrs on GOW 3 and Bots on Unreal Tournament (New Version). However the last one is probably because Im not used to playing FPS's on a PC.

Facehuggers in the PC version of AvP. By the time I got to them, I was down to my pulse rifle and I was so jittery I could hardly hit them.

Next thing I know, I get... well, a faceful of alien wing-wong.

That's the reason I used the second-controller glitch to unlock everything.

My most annoying enemy is random rocket-launcher guys. I'll be fighting like normal, then BAM ROCKET! You died!

Bartandeus or whatever the second time you fight him in FF13

inb4 FF sucks that boss caused me to rage quit that game and i havent played it since. I spent an hour chopping down his immense HP just for him to cast a timed death spell on me when he had 10% health left. Time ran out and i died when he had little over 10k health left out of 4 million.

Three words
FUCK THAT SHIT *slams controler down*

Those Brute enimes from dead space It seems that after finally killing one I have no ammo left in any of my guns to take down even basic bad guy.

Every single enemy that shoots in inFamous. They can headshot you with an AK-47, while they're on a rooftop and you're moving on the street. And don't get me started on the huge pink dudes in the last area.

Scions in Mass Effect 2.... fuckers seem to have an unlimited supply of Shockwave and it's deadly as hell.

Oh yes, Dead Space. Those splitter things! Dividers? They are also annoying. Especially the first time you fight them. I didn't know they would split D: ... And those things that stick to Issac and immobilize him, where you have to mash the "A" button. Accidentally running into a group of those is instant death...

I made it past via sheer luck.

The last of the bunch would have continued mauling me if it wasn't for the Meat Cleaver and it's almighty knockdown power.

the shield knights in Zelda 2. going through the first dungeon. all is going well, go down the elevator and boom, knight that can block most of my hits, can hit through my shield, and can move his so fast, i can't get a shot in. old i know, but it still burns (especially since I got it on the wii)
