A pain in the ass perhaps, but easy to deal with once they gave themselves away...

These ****s, on the other hand...

I'm going to go ahead and say those bulky fuckers from Mass Effect 2, you know, the ones who took so much damage they were like sponges and you had water pistols? The ones who had both an insanely powerful melee attack, as well is the insanely powerful primary attack (which ignores any sort of cover, and thus defeats the whole point)?

They were the reason it took me so long to complete that game. Not even the final boss killed me as much as those things did, they actually made me rage quit at one point.
Oh yeah I forgot about those...Scion's they're called. I hated them too.
I just finished an Insanity run, best tip for these bastards when playing as a soldier: Widow Sniper rifle with Warp or Armor Piercing Ammo. The damn thing sounds like god slamming the car door and a good hit wipes 25-30% of it's health straight off. I haven't tried it on an easier level, but on normal difficulty it would have to be close to a one-shot kill.

I agree with the stalkers when it comes to Dead Space 2. I think that was the closest the game came to making me scared like it scared me in Dead Space 1. Not the "I'm afraid to look under my bed/in my closet" kind of scared, but the "Oh god, what the he- JESUS CHRIST! SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT WITH FIRE! OH GOD IT'S EVERYWHE-" *dies horribly while squealing like a little girl*

But on a semi-less-serious note: Mother Fracking Escort Missions are my number one enemy in any game. Ever. Of all time. Period.

This.

Exactly this.

I have been playing video games longer than many people on this forum have been alive, I have never had the reaction I have to that sound than to any other mob in any other video game. Going back as far as Evil Otto or as recently as, I dunno, those goddamned flies in Fallout: New Vegas and including every single Survival Horror game that has ever been available for purchase or download in the United States, there has never been a mob that instills as much sudden fear, panic and hatred as that sound.

That fucking sound.

Behemoths and Dragons from Final Fantasy VI. They are extremely OP and if you meet one, good luck if you're on a low level! Cuse they will kick you in the butts.

Every enemy from Gothic II. The enemies where the reason the game was hard. Espeasially the Orcs.

Teemo from League of Legends. TEEEEMOOOO! >:-O

I always thought those Feral ghoul Reavers of fallout 3 were never a fun bunch to encounter.

The Head crabs from Half-life in all their varieties.

They're just so insidiously annoying.
Hate the poison headcrabs..."HURR DURR LEAVE YOU WITH 1HP LEFT" =(

I hate Cazadors and Giant Cazadors in Fallout: New Vegas...really hate them.
Oh god, Cazadores are the fucking worst. That is until you head to Big MT and get your heart removed, after that I would fist fight whole nests of them just take out some misplaced aggression.

Anyone mention Medusa Heads from Castlevania?
seriously. medusa heads in clocktower or any other hard platforming areas. especially in the pre-symphony games where they'd often kill you if they interrupt your jump.
