The seriously 2.0 achievement in Gears of War 2.

And in Sacred 2 there's some retarded ones.
This game is an RPG, so it's all about exploring the world, doing quests and having fun.

And then it has achievements like:
Any Hero completed the main quest without exploring more than 20 % of the map.
Any Hero has completed the main quest without buying anything.

It's like they're saying "Rush through, don't get cool armor...", the oposite of most of the other achievements also...

Little rocket man from Half Life 2 Ep. 2. Had to carry that thing around for the entire game, and it ruined the experience.
Darwin's parachute from Battlefield Bad Company. It's easy to get, but it's nearly impossible to get without looking on the forums (because the description is wrong).
"It ruined the experience"

What the hell? Since when do you HAVE TO do achievements?

And I'm gonna go with this for the hardest achievement: Start the game

How was it hard? I had to register on like 3(Maybe just 2..) different websites to get alot of codes because they were afraid of Pirates.. yarr.. -.-

The World at War one where you have to complete the singleplayer campaign on Veteran.
it was hard, and I got stuck on a single checkpoint for more than a month, but I finally managed it.
I think CoD 4 is harder on Veteran. It has a timer on one of the last levels :(
A Very Short timer on that difficulty D:

My most infuriating, not necessarily difficult, but just plain "ARGHHH FUCKING HECK". Is the Bobbleheads in Fallout 3. I collected ALL of them, spent ages doing it. Except for one. I ran straight past it in Raven Rock, I no longer have access to it and there's no old saves from when I was inside Raven Rock. It was only much later I found out there was one in there. Now I have to start again from the beginning -_-

I've said it before and I'll say it again; the Survivor achievement in Prince of Persia: Classic. Get through the entire game in one life. It's frustating because roughly thirty minutes into the game you'll slip up some how and an expletive will ring throughout the house.

This brings back memories of when I was trying to get the "Mile High Club" achievement from Call of Duty 4. This is one the the most annoying achievements I've ever gotten that comes to mind. I hated the mission and achievement a hell of alot, but felt compelled to get it, through some strange sense of incompletion of the game. Which achievement/trophy/game level was it for you?

P.S Please don't message me telling me how sad and crap I am because you got the achievement first time. I highly doubt that you did, and it's not the point of this post.
I did it first time! But I have the PS3 version so no trophy for me:(

The one from COD WAW were you have to kill Amsel with a pistol. GGNNAAAARGH!

"revenge revisited" in prototype. You have to beat the campain on HARD mode. That is the MOST INFURIATING ACHIEVEMENT EVER. I have this achievement, and it's not something I recomend anyone else try to get.

The Cheezy One

Also, Mile High Club seems like it'd be rather easily. I've played the level before, and I could probably do it on Veteran. But, from what I remember, that level was easy, and the only hard part was the end where you had to kill the guy with the hostage.
let me stop you there
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
do not ASSUME it is easy, the timer is cut short to 1 min, you die faster, enemies are smarter and there are more of them. if you get wounded, you cant risk waiting (longer then before) to recover, you have to rush forwards and hope your allies catch up to kill everyone in the room. when i got this, i redid it on hardened, and it was simple compared to veteran
thank you

I don't go for achievements, so let's check a level...

THE 5TH DIMENSION/CERBERUS BOSS from Titan Quest: Immortal Throne.

Excuse me, I need to run off and weep now.

Any 100% achievement. Enjoy looking for that 253th , while you still have to do <insert ridicilous amount of ridicilous things which were fun when they weren't required to do>.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon: To finish the game properly, you need 116%. Beat that.

The Portal Achevements for the console versions of Orange Box.

Some bastard didn't think to lessen the difficulty on the Time Trial challenges despite the fact the gamepad is a ton slower and less accurate than the mouse. Which leaves you with a couple achevements unobtainable without cheats.

96/99 Achevenments earned. Argh.

There's an achievement for GRAW 1 for getting to the number 1 spot on the leaderboards for FFA and Team deathmatch
hahahahahaha, I bet the developers thought that was funny.

Also some of the HL2 ones were incredibly annoying. Go through ravenholm with a gravity gun only? I did it, but noooo, no achievement. Go through episode one with one bullet? Well, I think I used the shotgun at the very beginning and so right from the start I'd probably failed it. Not that I realised, until I'd actually finished the game.

I didnt know you could turn off the vita chambers ill remember that next time i'm on that game thanks for the advice :D
It's in the options, my friend, just be sure to start a new game when you do this, since using one at any point "taints" your existing saves.
ho ho ho i see what you did there.
smart move even if it had abit of a 'cold' reception

I'd probably say the zombie genocidist achievement in L4D. It's not necessairly hard, just too damn time consuming, I don't really want to sit and play that long.

i know what your mean with the ravenholm one. i didnt do that one.
but the fire one bullet was easy i just used grenades alot and the rocket launcher it was amazingly funny. i had the urges to shout overkill every couple of minutes to lol
