I know that most of the names mentioned will the those of game who have hit franchise level 3 at least (3rd, and almost certainly not last, in the series, rather than games which are either opening a series, or are standing alone. Halo 3 will be popular, as will Call of Duty 4. But hey, let's hear what YOUUUUUUU think.

Use the search bar. I've seen tons of these threads.
OT: Fable series, and Resident Evil 5. Both are good, but they weren't as good as everyone expected.

Fallout. Don't get me wrong I love all the main Fallout games (1 & 2 are in my top favourite games of all time), but Christ, places like No Mutants Allowed just take things too far. They're brilliant games, but not flawless.

Fable one was a great, original action RPG experience. Fable II was exactly the same great slightly less original action RPG experiece mixed with living out your everyday life through a game (especially since you could only get cash from working) like.. wtf!?
For me the most overrated game would easily be Oblivion. I have no idea why it received such rave reviews. It was a first person, generic RPG, the battle system was far from dynamic and new. The spells, story, gameplay, and overall feel just felt to me like "been here, done that". Now I want "next".

Peter Molyneux gave unfulfilled promises about both Fable and Fable II. Originality does not equal greatness.

Also, halo.
Just kidding. =D. Halo. I think rock band was way overrated as well.. In fact i think the whole idea of a full band game is overrated. WoW. WoW. WoW.

Is this that guy again? I see Halo mentioned but not too much but time will only tell.

My example has to be MGS, now hear me out.

It had some good bits and was rather enjoyable but the movies just grated on me.

Half Life series. It's a good series, but around here it's like fucking jesus.
I forgot this. To me, it was another shooter with 1 special gun and puzzles. The first one was pretty good, but I didn't like the other ones.

So your gripe is with Metal Gear solid 4 then? Not the previous 3?

Give the guy a break, it's his first post.

Probably the sims, in my opinion. It was good, but after the first, it was nothing amazing.

Metal Gear Solid.
Part one was great, but then it fell in a canyon or something.

A rather deep canyon with a river of endless cutscenes at the bottom most likely.

All joking aside, MGS get's an amazing amount of kudoes from it's fans... which amazes me.
