Most over-rated Game/Game Series?

My example has to be MGS, now hear me out.

It had some good bits and was rather enjoyable but the movies just grated on me.

So your gripe is with Metal Gear solid 4 then? Not the previous 3?

Guess you could say that, the jungle eating tingy in no.3 seemedpretty stupid to me too.

I agree coming from the angle of "why couldn't the military provide Naked with rations?"

Anyway... as much i thoroughly enjoyed the game, Haze was very Overrated, what with the being hailed as the Halo killer and all that.

And OT: I would say Guitar Hero and Rockband are up there. I mean, yes, the game is fun at parties and whatnot, but my main annoyance is with this game's fanbase because they think the playing the game well elevates you to the status of 'Youtube celebrity.' When I search guitar on youtube, I always get more gameplay videos than actual music.

I hardly find grinding your bum off til level 45 to do the actually pretty cool raids and the like, which due to my laziness and lust for exploration will take me weeks or even months, appealing.

If you ask me I would say Half-Life 2. I still think that it's a terrible game yet so many people say it's one of the greatest FPS's ever.

Everything Nintendo put in the LoZ series after Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. None of it makes any damn sense or even fits with the one before it. Nintendo needs get its head out of its ass and actually make it go together, not just have only the main things that have been in all the games, like Princess Zelda and Link.

Ah, but I soon as I'm off a certain quest line with no hint as to where to go, I usually end up wandering off in territory of the enemy and get raped up the bum because I felt like exploring. Now if mapping became a skill in that game, I'd probably pick it up.

Although I loved FFX, I think the Final Fantasy series.

Probably not the series as a whole, but FF7 has to stop being hyped as the greatest game ever. (FFX was the best in my opinion). Also possibly Ocarina of Time. It's like fanboys use it as the basis for every subsequent game.

Fallout. Don't get me wrong I love all the main Fallout games (1 & 2 are in my top favourite games of all time), but Christ, places like No Mutants Allowed just take things too far. They're brilliant games, but not flawless.

God, I used to be active on their boards about a decade ago. They've gotten steadily worse as time goes by however. I love Fallout, but NMA needs to be fumigated.

Also, Halo. Goddamn people, they're good games, but, they didn't invent he FPS genre.

Read the quest log. It tells you specifically where to go. If not then just get QuestHelper. Also, you can explore all you want but if you are low level you will get raped by the higher level monsters in certain areas.

Star Craft I occasionly call it Star Crap. Why? A person on youtube said it is the BEST RTS EVER. He also said dissing star craft= south koreans beat me up. I laughed for like 5 minutes because I actually am a korean.
Okay thats not the reason.... On the guide it said really balanced. Really balanced my ass because zerg are OP. Protoss is OP.
