He wins by virtue that he cannot be beaten. If defeat is no longer an option, the only thing left is victory. And yes, I count escape as a victory, "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day."
Yes he might constantly survive but everyone else won't, what's the point of teleporting away from a threat when it kills your friends and loved ones. If Galactus destroyed the earth, Darwin would probably survive, be able to fly and breath in space, but he'd have no home. It's much like I said above about Superman, with Darwin the drama is not whether he dies, but whether others around him die. Also even if say Superman couldn't destroy him, Darwin cannot destroy him, they're both locked in stalemate. I see no victory here.
