im not honestly scared by video games. fear, silent hill, and condemmend did not scare me at all (i shit you not)
the only game i can think of that scared me (and this was only one point) is dead space *facepalm* i freaked out when to qoute yathzee

I have played the first condemned and the first F.E.A.R and I stick by what I said. These games are nothing. The only scary games, in my opinion, are the psychological horrors. You're scared of something that isn't scary.Silent Hill, on the other hand, is a RATIONAL fear.
Ravenholm had me shooting into complete darkness and almost scared me from playing the game. Resident Evil 4 had me scared shitless. Three words. Regenerators and darkness. I swear all you hear is breathing that lets you know that some creepy fuck is hanging around ready to make you his next snack.

Two words: Dead Space. I was hooked (and thoroughly disturbed) for most of the game. The first time I experienced one of those tentacle mini-games, I shat myself.
Pathologic. While Doom, System Shock, Silent Hill 2 etc. have caused mild amounts of quivering (FEAR, however, I beg to differ, is one of the least scary scary games ever made), Pathologic is the only game to have inspired a sufficient amount of sheer dread as to make it hard for me to actually play the game.
F.E.A.R. scared me to death, mostly because of a single incident. My little 6 year old sister, who bears a striking resemblance to Alma, once wandered into my room in the middle of the night while I was playing it, just as the freaky lights started happening. I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life. Brrrrr.....
