I am hyped for it, good to see that they can finally start.

I'm really hesitant about all the unnecessary story additions and changes. The Hobbit takes place almost half a century before LOTR, so what the hell is Frodo doing in this movie? Yeah I know, a framework, but why?

Martin Freeman has confirmed for sure? I remember there was some talk about it, wasn't sure if he had signed the dotted line though. If he has, this film will be frickin' awesome, Martin is ideal for this role. He has the ability to play it serious but still keep the jovial Hobbit like humour required.

I just want to see what Smaug will look like. There havent been that many well done dragons in movies. I bet this will be the better one.

Going by the trilogy, he should be pretty badass. At least badass enough to dethrone the Hungarian Horntail from Goblet of Fire from the badass dragons in movies throne.

Uhm, no. Thats Sherlock Holmes. Martin Freeman was in Sherlock, a British mini-series which I believe is better than the recent american movie.
