Much-Maligned The Hobbit Actually Starts Filming

Uhm, no. Thats Sherlock Holmes. Martin Freeman was in Sherlock, a British mini-series which I believe is better than the recent american movie.

It's certainly very well acted, which is what counts. Martin Freeman is quite an up-and-comer in acting terms, so I hope it turns out to be a big break for him. Ricky Gervais got way too much credit for making The Office a success.

Strong promo images as well.. I never pictured Bilbo with a beard, but I kind of like it. Previous depictions have tended to focus too much on the 'childishness' of hobbits, I think, as opposed to just making them self-obsessed and parochial.

I just want to see what Smaug will look like. There havent been that many well done dragons in movies. I bet this will be the better one.

Going by the trilogy, he should be pretty badass. At least badass enough to dethrone the Hungarian Horntail from Goblet of Fire from the badass dragons in movies throne.

The LOTR movie trilogy was one of my favorites. Hopefully, the hobbit will keep up that tradition.

It doesnt seem to have any forelegs, looks to be more like a wyvern than a dragon. Still looks nice tho.
