Start group tha will record and send out music files. Also, we would have artists discreetly some in lay down their tracks and then we'd sell the CD's on the street corner. much like drugs.
If music became illegal,i would still listen to it,and go to jail knowing i believe in freedom of speech.

When you say the government do you mean the American Government?
If so, I don't care, I take everything they say with mountainous piles of salt.
But a wise man once said:

If the government deemed music illeagel, then its time for a new government. I would start and uprising to overthrow them and set in place a democracy with a weak central government.
I'd take advantage of my 2nd Amendment rights and attempt a coup d'etat (with help, hopefully), because the day that the government forbids music is the day that it has become way too fucking powerful.
I'd become the boss of my own mafia, and specialize in the now, extremely profitable music bootlegging.

Music *should* be illegal. It wouldn't be for everyone anymore. It wouldn't be such a universal trance. Separate the sheep from the goats, or sumthin'.

Were music illegal, I'd start an undergroud music dealing ring of local artists and outdated CDs from the beginning of the millenium. I'd then sell the music at rediculously high prices and knock out any other local rings so I can be the lord of the region. In other words:
