Start group tha will record and send out music files. Also, we would have artists discreetly some in lay down their tracks and then we'd sell the CD's on the street corner. much like drugs.

The government can suck by foot for all i care.

I think it would turn out exactly the way prohibition did. It would be illegal for a while as music grew more and more popular. Everyone knows that once you make something illegal it automatically becomes that much more coveted. Not to mention how nearly impossible it would be to enforce these music laws. Eventually the law would get repealed on the grounds of how ridiculous it all was in the first place.
Prohibition?
I'm looking forward to music mobsters.

When you say the government do you mean the American Government?
If so, I don't care, I take everything they say with mountainous piles of salt.

But a wise man once said:
"Who is more powerful, the person who creates the laws, the person who reviews the laws, or the person with the army?"

I'd personally say "Good!" I hate music with a vengeance. It sounds terrible, wastes time, money and well as I said before, it sounds like a cat is being grated with a cheese grater while the cat's mother is crying out in anguish.
(Fishehh hates music).

If the government deemed music illeagel, then its time for a new government. I would start and uprising to overthrow them and set in place a democracy with a weak central government.

I'd take advantage of my 2nd Amendment rights and attempt a coup d'etat (with help, hopefully), because the day that the government forbids music is the day that it has become way too fucking powerful.

I'd become the boss of my own mafia, and specialize in the now, extremely profitable music bootlegging.

iPods would be my coke, instruments will be my heroin. The general public will see us as freedom fighters working for our cause. Soon, my legion will build and be able to take on even the full force of the Beat Police (Enforcers of the Music Ban).

My life will end at the hands of the Melody Agents (Music FBI) after sacrificing myself to protect the last undestroyed electric guitar.

The world's music lovers who held on to their final hopes thanks to my work, will mourn my passing and take vengeance on my behalf.

One day, the wars will finally end, and the government releases the ban. And people like me, who fought and died to protect the wonderful sounds of music, will be remembered.

Music *should* be illegal. It wouldn't be for everyone anymore. It wouldn't be such a universal trance. Separate the sheep from the goats, or sumthin'.

Just kidding? =D

Were music illegal, I'd start an undergroud music dealing ring of local artists and outdated CDs from the beginning of the millenium. I'd then sell the music at rediculously high prices and knock out any other local rings so I can be the lord of the region. In other words:

1. Start Underground Music Ring.
2. Sell music at high prices.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!

Honestly, I would keep listening to music, since the police force in my town is a bit less-than-adequate. You could get away with mass murder here, so popping in some headphones and relaxing for an hour won't be quickly discovered.

Ask yourselves: What would happend if downloading music was illegal?

Hypothetically, what would happen if a unicorn mated with the loch ness monster?
I ask because it's got about the same chance of realistically happening, so deserves the same amount of thought.
It's not. Existence of music is proven.
