More seriously, I would just listen to it at a lower level. I want my metal, dammit!
And I'd hide in a shady part of town, filled with others who loved the same kind of banned music, and who all had very large guns.
If it ever happens, feel free to bring yer ragtag little group and hide out in my kitchen. Thick walls, office and loungey area in the basement, food, drink, and Amadeus. We'll bring the music back to the masses and fend off the corrupt elite side ny side and back to back! [sup]As long as I can still play my Dropkicks. If not, y'all're on your own. Besides, they could make it illegal, but they can't stop the signal.[/sup]

I would still listen to my music and kill any who tried to stop me. No one is going to take Hargalaten from me.

Rebel. Most seriously.
I would be like a George Washington who plays piano.

The only reason I can think of for banning music, though, is if someone were to figure out a way to weaponize it.
That'd be crazy.

well Id be out of a job, and I think there would still be plenty of places and people listening to music like normal to start with, and then music retreating to secretive underground clubs and such

If most type of music was to become illegal, that would be a major step back in our society's freedom of expression and creativity. It would be a major step towards totalitarianism or conservative, which obviously isn't good.

I don't think it would happen any time soon, thankfully (as in the next 10 years), but it might happen in the more distant future (within most of our life times).

I would drive around blasting death metal out of my car stereo at full volume as a big 'FUCK YOU!' to anyone who thought they could tell me what I can and cannot listen to.

Then that would suck...anime is still one of my major interests and past times, and if its existence ceased, I would be majorly disappointed.

Perhaps I take my liberties for granted, but I can't imagine a time where music is banned. I would think there would be a precursor to the situation, and by the time music was taken away, everything else has been as well.

Poodie, why don't you make this INTO a book.

This would sell all over the place. The next 451.

Nah. I'd probably lean too much on Joe's Garage and 451. If you want to, go for it.
I'm a little busy but I'll think about it

I wrote a screenplay on this very scenario. Except it was also about religion and how the government rejects anything that can't be proven by science. I would go into specifics, but its a really complicated story. (Involves Satan at some point)

A ban on music simply wouldn't work, thanks to the internet. People would download it online off illegal websites. Although then again, if it gets to the point where music is banned then it's probably a complete and utter totalitarian situation with your computer being monitered and shit, and you'd just get arrested. But back on topic, I wouldn't really care. I don't listen to much music anyway.
