My first shiny!

My only shiny so far is a Donphan (good thing I always have a pokémon with False Swipe when I'm grinding).
My brother's lucky enough to have had 3: a Hoothoot in crystal, a Luvdisc in Diamond, and in platinum, he rerolled the encounter with Regigigas enough times to get a shiny there.

I played fire red on the gba back a few years ago before my gba broke and my friend stole the shiny. It was a shiny gastly and it was pretty cool, i evolved it to haunter and traded it to my friend to evolve it to a shiny gengar, once he got it he never returned it and i never saw it again 
A pink female Nidoran, back before I named my pokes, when I was like 9.
Last year, I caught my pride and joy: a golden Pidgeotto, who I named Rarity.
THREE DAYS later, I caught my third, a blue Gulpin, who I named Crypto.
Also, once on a friend's game, I caught a blue Swinub. I have really good luck with shinies...

The only one I ever caught was a shiny Numel on Emerald once.
... I wasn't that thrilled. Caught it anyway, because shiny.
I also once got the PokeRus in Gold Version. When the nurse told me my Pokemon were sick and couldn't be cured, I freaked the fuck out and restarted the game.

In Pokemon pearl, I found a gold geodude and caught it. If you count the red gyrados in gold/silver, I also caught that one.
I have been playing Pokemon for 12 years and haven't seen a shiny to the best of my knowledge. It's horrible and every time I see someone talking about Shinys it makes me feel inadequate.....
I've caught my fair share of Shiny Pokemon throughout my ventures in ever generation.
The first that I caught outside of the Red Gyarados in the Silver version was:
A Shiny Golbat!
I was 12 when I caught this beast and I was excited as hell!
I also caught
a Shiny Flaffy a few weeks later.
For Ruby, I caught:
A Shiny Taillow and
a Shiny Aron.
For LeafGreen, I was fortunate to catch
a Shiny Oddish.
In Pearl, I caught
a Shiny Hippowdon.

Once when I was lazily playing SoulSilver I came across a shiny Dewgong, but it's colour in comparison to a normal one was so similar that I wouldn't have noticed if not for the obvious sparkle animation. Now THAT woke me up pretty quick.
In fire red I found my first shiny. I was a pidgy. I thought my game was glitching so I restarted because I was afraid to lose my save data to the "glitch". Told my friend about it the next day and he told me it was a shiny. Lets just say many facepalms were dealt that day.
I've played over 1000 hours of Pokemon throughout my life and only ever found a single shiny Sandshrew in Pokemon Ruby. I wasn't sure what it was (shiny Sandshrew looks pretty much the same) so I knocked it out. Found out a couple of years later and been kicking myself since.
