Now, I'm not one for game movies or even the old Mortal Kombat movies, but this looks fucking amazing!

Lolz indeed it is a picture of sub zero, the flashed picture at least. It appears he has the same eyes as scorpion, but the rest appears to be n apparatus of sorts. Pretty logical, seeing as most people cant summon ice via ninja power.

The freeze frame? I would actually think that'd be Noob-Saibot, as it could also be a remembering of Scorpion to what Noob-Saibot looked like before his deat.. The 'mask' is some weird device helping him live or something. Or it could be a hint to the mysticism of the original games and all that, as is with Scorpion's eyes..

Am interested in it.

Movie Bob said that anything could be a good movie if the right things were changed for it's transition to the silver screen. The last Street Fighters movie? Crap. This? I'm willing to shell out money to see just for the sake of my own review of it. I'd still see it if M. Night Shyamalan, or Michel Bay were directing (with much lack of enthusiasm). Mortal Kombat was one of first games I've ever played and I want to see if Hollywood's crack at will do the game proud, make a good action movie, or hopefully both.

I get it and it totally makes sense to me, but Im thinking there is definitely going to be some magic in this game. Eyes with no Irises don't work well, same with Reptiles whole thing. It may be toned down, but it certainly wont be missing (I think).

Also,I believe his mask (toned down a BUNCH in MK1 and MK2) was actually a needed technology to keep him alive when using cryomancy. So it is possible it is for the sake of the story.

honestly id prefer if that pic of subzero was for the older brother not the younger cause it seems that in the pic subzero needs the tech to breath, so it would make more sense to say that LIKE scorpion, subzero survived.

I don't understand the hate about this. Grow an open mind, people. Stop being so bitter and angry that you can't even let yourselves enjoy something.

OP: I think it loots intriguing, and definitely will have me wanting to watch it. If it turns out to be a movie. If it's a game, I will most likely get it .

Being open-minded doesn't mean you have to like it, or enjoy it.

If people don't like it, they don't like it.
Doesn't matter if it's for lack of mysticism or because it's not their type of action movie.

Being open-minded just means that you're willing to consider it.

Never in my post did I say that they have to like it to be open minded. My statement was directed at the immediate dislike. For a trailer. For a bit of cinematic teasery that might or might not be indicative of the actual film.

I don't know what they are trying to pull. I know WB Studio has the empty shell that is Midway... but remember that they can also reshape the full story. That's said, i don't plan on bying or even renting a Mortal Kombat KASHIN' game made around that story. I love the old character and knowing that Sub-Zero may have Liquefied Nitrogen launcher instead of ancestral freezing power gain by hard training ruin it for me like Mediclorian did for Star Wars Fan.

Where are you getting the uwe boll credit on this? /curious.

btw this apperantly is a short movie shot by some director who wanetd to show it to the big studious and get funds for the whole thing.
I rly rly rly hope this gets some serious backing up...cuz it looks amazing.

n i got to admit lateef as barak was awesome...n the mere fact that they are getting real fights into the movie speaks well.

Wrong, there stuff that you can't possibly imagine. Like this pick:

Poor guy got a medical condition where he has growth like tree bark coming out of his body. It's not photoshop either, his name is Dede Kosawa. So, magic or science, they are going for science. No Flying Bicycle Kick for Lyu Kang.

But in Mortal Kombat 3, his brother didn't need it. I believe that they say that the Lin Quay (Sub-Zero clan) is the earth realm equivalent to Scorpion's clan in Otherworld. As i said, it remove the awe inspiring move that made the arcade game so nice. If he got Liquid Nitrogen launcher like Spider-Man web Shooter, i quit. I'm seriously quitting the franchise and throwing my MK stuff to the garbage.

Where was the seriousness when: Giving all of his humanity to an unborn child by reaching through the mom's stomach and killing the kid, the Fireball, The Spinning bird kick that last 4 minutes, the fact she can't read the first language she learn, ect.
