Infintely Agreed.Andy Chalk said:It's BETTER!Zeithri said:That is NOT the Mortal Kombat I know..
%100, exactly my thoughts on it. As a fan of the original games I enjoyed the first Mortal Kombat movie... it was good, needed a higher rating than PG-13 so we could see more fatalities but other wise it was good. I also enjoyed the cheese story behind Mortal Kombat and I've enjoyed it all the way up to MK vs DC... however... I just can't see where else they can go with this. I think they've pretty much wrapped everything up, left a few plots open here and there but none are really all that interesting. I think the game it self needs a re-boot along with the movies. I'm going to keep my eye on this.Lynxan said:Snip
There was that very short film kicking around last month, that was pretty good... Am sure someone here will know what it is calledAlways_Remain said:Maybe it's because I was never a huge fan of the games (I do like them though) but the whole lack of magic and whatnot doesn't really bother me. This trailer looks like a step in the right direction. As long as it's a movie, which it probably is going to be. It could be better then PoP even though that's not saying too much.
Also, WHY CAN'T A GOOD STREET FIGHTER MOVIE BE MADE!? Please Hollywood, make a good one. Or I'll burn you down.
I went to Bing and is it by chance called Street Fighter: Legacy?ironduke88 said:Always_Remain said:Maybe it's because I was never a huge fan of the games (I do like them though) but the whole lack of magic and whatnot doesn't really bother me. Possible, but things could take a swing down left-turnsville. I've always considered SubZero a good guy, myself. This ain't no amateur rig that's for sure. I had he who plays Jax pegged from seeing his face. Didn't recognize she who plays Sonya til Scorpion was about out the door.Kevlar Eater said:So far, the one thing that piqued my interest in this trailer was Reptile's background. Pretty reasonable and somewhat believable, in my opinion. But Scorpion as a possible protagonist? Quite unsettling.
Considering Reptile managing to survive with all that he was born with, Baraka surviving with self-implanted steel blades in his arms, and Scorpion's unique ocular attribute, how do you miss seeing the mystical in all of that? Not everything has to be CGI and flashy lights. Many movies have succeeded by using subtle tactics as opposed to overbearing special effects. That's one reason I am quite interested in this movie. The Great JT said:Okay, credit where it's due, despite the fact they missed the point of Mortal Kombat so badly they'd be closer if they fired in the opposite direction, that does look like an awesome reboot of Mortal Kombat.
That said, I loved the mystical element. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to give this a chance, but I'm just going to say that I loved the magical elements like Shang Tsung.
I'll check it out! Thank you.ironduke88 said:Thats the one... I enjoyed it...Always_Remain said:I went to Bing and is it by chance called Street Fighter: Legacy?
