Definitely an interesting take on the MK mythos, but it's not my Mortal Kombat. My Mortal Kombat is filled to the brim with sorcery, supernatural abominations, and vague goals. It's equal parts modern day/pseudo-future sci-fi and ancient East Asian mysticism, and that's how I like it. Did it try to pull off the whole "make something darker" concept that made Batman Begins better? Yes it did.

Bring back outworld, the supernatural elements, the dark imagery, make the moves over the top, and please let this be a fake movie. It felt cheesy and stupid concept wise.
