The Satyrs take up their instruments and begin to play. Many of them look happier, caught up in the music. One satyer, formerly a little girl from the village of Ishuel, at the east end of the valley, made her way back to her family. in the dead of night, she walked up to their door, and knocked on it. her father came to the door, tears and anger on his face, grieving for his lost girl. He saw her, and not realizing it to be her, killed her. The next day men gathered in the village from a dozen miles around. They would kill the beasts who had taken their family members.
The Sound let out a cry, a piercing note that ran out for miles upon miles as she heard what the father did and what his people were about to do. Angry tears rolled down her cheeks as she sprinted to the Satyr girl's corpse still in the mud and cradled her broken form.
Why!? What have my people done to them!? Her mind raged, wanting to stop these humans from causing more tragedy and having half a mind to do so cruelly. The Muse forced herself to calm however, panic and anger was what had the villagers to take such drastic action. She knew she had to calm them but they were so enraged she was not sure she could do it. Still, the being had to try and show them the truth.
Taking up the girl in her arms she sprinted to where the men had gathered, making herself seen and heard by them. She slowed down to a walk as she saw the father and walked up to him, keeping everyone close enough to see and laid the child's corpse on the ground gently. The Muse knelt beside her and a beautiful, heart wrenching symphony passed through her lips and began to unravel her work. The beast-like features melted away gradually as her aura tried to make the people think clearly, soon the father's daughter was back to normal. The Sound stepped back for them to see and waited for a response, her fury barely under control.
