If anything, 007 Nightfire was OVERrated. People harped on about how good it was when it sufered the exact same pitfalls as the other EA bond games of the time- it's made up plot was terrible, the dialogue was awful (and don't give me that 'Bond dialogue is supposed to be awful' crap). There were a few nice moments- sneaking around in the office building at night was a highlight for me, but the rest was just bland, generic crap. Not to mention that final bit in space was pathetic compared to what goes on in the movies. Soon as I got to the end I traded it in for XIII and never looked back.
What really gets my goat about Nightfire, though, is it's from the same team that made TWINE, which while simpler, was a much better game overall. One of the better multiplayer maps in Nightfire was Skyrail, which had already appeared in TWINE- better designed, with smoother gameplay.
So if we're talking underrated bond games, The World Is Not Enough is the underdog, not the overrated Nightfire. Everything or Nothing was pretty good, but it got about the right amount of attention anyway.
I will admit the mini vehicles in Nightfire were a stroke of genius though...
