10. Borat
9. Little Miss Sunshine
8. Step Brothers
7. Machete -watching high was amazing.
6. Beavis & Butthead Do Ameirca

5. 300 -Just about the only action movie that I like. The whole principle about using a narrow passage to fight off thousands of enemies with only 300 men triggers a special part of my brain. "This is Sparta!"

4. The Hangover -Over the top comedy. The characters acted like real people thrown into a situation of comedic events. Zac Galipinakis is hairy Jesus. "Not at the table Carlos."

3. Kung Pao: Enter the Fist -Stupid humor, just how I liked it growing up. Great parody of Kung Fu movies. Still hoping one day there could be a sequel. "At that moment, the Chosen One learned an important lesson about metal claws, they hurt like crap man!"

2. Grandma's Boy -Oh god, where to begin? Video games, robot voices, masterbating to anime dolls, stoner humor, Nick Swardson, David Spade, and even Kevin Nash? Could easily be number 1. It's a close call. "You're a hooker!"

1. Wayne's World -Awesome movie that I've seen nearly a hundred times since I was a kid. Going back and watching it now is amazing, and seeing all the Led Zeppelin shirts is the cherry on top. "It's sucking my will to live!"

Yeah, yeah I know this type of thread has been done to death but I feel like a bit of breezy movie discussion so name your all time top 10 AND a sentence to describe each one. Here goes mine (in no particular order):

The Dark Knight - An intelligent crime thriller with one of the best villain performances of all time.

Pulp Fiction - Awesomeley entertaining and wickedley funny.

Fight Club - Brutal mix of thriller and black comedy.

The Departed - Intense, smart, fast paced gangster movie.

Alien - One of the most suspenseful and influential horror movies with a sci-fi twist.

Priness Mononoke - One of the most beautiful and touching animated films I have ever seen.

Borat - Gut bustingly funny.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - An epic ending to one of the most ingrossing fantasy sagas of all time (blows Star Wars out of the water).

The Shawshank Redemption - Heartwarming and brilliantly made.

Donnie Darko - A really though provoking movie that messes with your mind in the best way possible!
We've some favorites in common, OP

In no particular order:

Magnolia

Crash (Paul Haggis, not that Cronenberg softcore trash)

Heat

The Matrix Trilogy

Pulp Fiction

Fight Club

In (almost) no particular order

1.Where the Wild Things Are -My greatest love right now. Beautiful, intelligent and relevant.

2.The Usual Suspects:One of the best crime movies ever. Fantastic characters and lots of fun

3.Hot Fuzz : Pegg and Co. doing their thing. Possibly the best "spoof" movie ever.

4.Little Miss Sunshine : Heartwarming and quirky comedy, with good acting performances all around.

5.The Big Lebowski :I´m usually a bit ambivalent towards the Cohen brothers movies, but I just love the whole feel of this one.

6.Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas : Kind of messed up plot- wise, but visually beautiful and brilliantly character acting from del Toro and Depp. And a lot of fun :)

7.Stranger than Fiction- Dealing with the relationship between comedy and drama, this surprisingly deep movie, pulls both off.

8.Watchmen: While possibly just on here because it love the comic, the movie pretty much delivers on everything I liked about that. And I was some stunning visuals.

9.Snatch : Funny characters. Fast action. Ridiculous plot(in a good way)

10. V for Vendetta : I just liked so many things about this movie. Hugo Weaving does a fantastic job at acting with just his body and voice.

Damn that was hard.

I have to pick 10? oh great.
I love so many movies that for every one I commit to my top 10 I'll have 10 movies to put in the honorable mentions

So here it goes

1)Black Swan: Just a brilliant movie with seamless atmosphere. [sub]and it should have won the Oscar for cinematography. FUCK INCEPTION[/sub]
2)No Country for Old Men: If The Dark Knight had one of the best villain performances of all times No Country for Old Men has the best villain performance of all times. It's also an all around great movie.
3)Shaun of the Dead: Simon Pegg and Zombies, need I say more.
4)Reservoir Dogs: Quentin Tarantino's first movie, and although all his films are excellent this one's my favorite.
5)Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Funny, thoughtful, and surprisingly deep, and easy to watch considering it's for all intents and purposes a romantic comedy.
6)Hard Candy: I like watching movies where teenage girls show guys who's the boss.
7)3:10 to Yuma: I love the old west, Bad guys in those days had some dignity. Russell Crowe is amazing in this movie.
8)The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo: A masterpiece, the best foreign film I've ever seen. I really like the third one too. The second one was a pile of tripe though.
9)District 9: The Prawns are the best aliens ever. They have emotions and you care about them. No other movie has ever pulled that off. Maybe for one or two aliens but never a community. oh, and there's good action and an involving plot too.
10)Diner for Schmucks: I've never laughed so hard at a movie. Steve Carell is a comedy mastermind. Every moment of this movie fills me with guffaws.

and these are honorable mentions

1)How to Train Your Dragon
2)Princess Bride
3)12 Angry Men
4)The Godfather
5)The Social Network
6)Splice
7)Pulp Fiction
8)11:14
9)Oldboy
10)Kick-Ass
11)127 Hours

And as soon as I click post I'm probably going to think of another batch of movies I wish I had mentioned.

Vanilla Sky - I know alot of people hate it, mainly because they dont get it (or maybe they have another reason) but i remember seeing it as a kid and getting it on dvd about a year ago, I love it, despite being a Tom Cruise film.

The Darjeeling Limited - Probably my favourite Wes Anderson film. The soundstack and overall film are just beautiful

Tron: Legacy - This movie left me in awe. It was the first 3D film i went to see, but thats not why it had such a strong effect on me. I cant quite put my finger on it but i left the cinema inspired.

Pineapple Express - The James Franco and Seth Rogen combo makes this movie amazing. Its one of the movies I can just put on when ever and it still makes me laugh.

The Wackness - When I heard that Josh Peck (Drake and Josh... anyone?) was playing a lead role in this I had to check it out. And I'm glad I did. As this was one of the first movies I seen Ben Kingsly in I find it hard to take him serious in any other role.

Nick and Norahs Infinite Playlist - Dont look at me like that... Its a nice enjoyable story overall and an amazing soundstrack if you are into the whole indie scene.

I Love You, Man - A movie that sums up my life, and like Pineapple Express always makes me laugh.

Leon - Another film I seen when I was younger and only recently purchased on DVD. An amazing performance from a young Natalie Portman and an enjoyable story.

Fight Club - My girlfriend bought this for me and I'm so glad she did, such an awesome conept.

The big Lebowski - An amazing performance from Jeff Bridges and a movie I will happily put on when I fancy some chill out time.

3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail - The funniest film EVER!

4. The Dark Knight - Epicness in black.

5. The Matrix Trilogy - Fights and questions on our perceptions of reality ... then more fights.

6. First Blood Quadrilogy - Typical guy films but whatever.

7. Ali G - This has given me so much lingo I now often use.

8. Tranformers: The Movie - The 1986 cartoon one, not the Michael Bay wankery.

9. The Rocky Horror Picture Show - YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!!!!

10. All Predator, Aliens and AVP's - Fucking love those things.

10. Fight Club - My sister's favorite movie.
9. The Land Before Time - Loved this movie as a kid.
8. Scott Pilgrim - Very funny, and I loved finding all the game references.
7. Batman - The Joker was a lot more fun in this one.
6. Sherlock Holmes - Holmes and Watson. That is all.
5. M - Look it up!
4. Beauty and the Beast - To quote my little sister after watching this movie, "More beer?"
3. The Castle of Cagliostro - The funnest of Miyazaki's films. Castle in the Sky is probably my second favorite of his.
2. Citizen Kane - Duh.
1. Toy Story 3 - It's about growing up and realizing the uncertainty of the future, which I was going through at the time I first saw this. I guess you can say that it spoke to me.

10. Rocky Horror Picture Show -- This film is bizarre, beautiful, hilarious, and bizarre. Did I mention that it's bizarre?

9. Dick Tracy -- A great detective film that was predictable but enjoyable.

8. The Mask -- I always laugh at Jim Carrey's antics.

7. Get Smart -- Steve Carrell always knows how to break the funny bone.

6. Bruce Almighty -- Again, Jim Carrey is an amazing actor.

5. Street Fighter -- HORRIBLE MOVIE, but Raul Julia's ham-tastic performance makes the whole thing watchable.

4. Mortal Kombat -- Another horrible movie, but it was actually watchable, to say the least.

3. Die Hard -- One of the greatest action films ever made.

2. Batman -- One of the best Superhero movies I've ever seen.

1. Yes Man -- one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
