Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Mysterious Figure Boss Battle

First off, fuck this boss!
Second off, fuck you, boss! You cheap-ass ************!
Third off, totally won out of sheer luck, since my health was still in the red, not just because of having the "Second Chance"/"Once More" abilities equipped, but because this fucker didn't even use his one span-enabled attack that can render both abilities inactive because "fuck your abilities", that's why...

Other than that, most of my "Hero Mode" runs in Jak II... Even with the potential of having "Invincibility" on, you can still die regardless since it doesn't cover being in a turrent and/or specific vehicle in question... Also, the final stage of Child of Eden before the credits start rolling... Shit gets intense as fuck before then...

So...have you fought No Heart yet? :3
That bastard makes the Mysterious Figure look like a simple play thing, which is utterly terrifying. From what I've heard though, they nerfed him a bit for 2.5 HD.

TF2 arena mode on oilrig as a spy.
I had cloak and dagger on as well and it ended up being a 4v1 me being alone. I managed to bide my time and pick off 2 with ambassador headshots but when I went down to get health they must've saw me, it was a demo and a spy left and I had to phase in and out of invisibility firing shots. Got lucky and ended up backstabbing one of them before killing the other with bodyshots.

There are two user-made map packs for Doom called Speed of Doom and Resurgence. They were designed to have many overwhelming moments in them that, while difficult, are very much possible and there is enough ammo and health placed around the maps to recover from near-death experiences.

However... what messed me up the most was this one map that was chock full of Arch-Viles around every other corner. If you've played Doom you know how much of a pain in the ass these guys are. Anyways, I thought I was done for but one of the Arch-Viles' blasts actually launched me upwards to an otherwise innaccessible platform that ensured me temporary safety.

Those maps are DIFFICULT. If you want a challenge I highly recommend those two .WADs.

This kind of thing happens pretty regularly in Warband multiplayer. Once I became decent at chambering, I started being able to take on multiple players at once since most just aren't familiar with this technique. It basically involves starting your attack as the enemy's is about to hit you (you have to attack in the direction their's is coming from) which results in you not only blocking their attack, but readying your own attack at the same time. It's much more efficient than simply blocking, but it also a lot harder to time. Fighting someone in a one on one scenario while both players are proficient at this is quite tense and you're usually one or two fuck ups from death.

I haven't started on Birth By Sleep Final Mix yet, since I'm still in the middle of my first Critical playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix in 2.5... So, unless No Heart also have a "fuck your abilities" combo-esque move in his repertoire[footnote]Since he's the only "Final Mix"-type boss I haven't fully seen the full battle of at this point in time[/footnote], then I'm sure I'll hate him too... and [maybe] then some, I guess...

Also, he's nerfed too?! I might have to check and see what did get nerfed like I did with Unknown...

No Heart has the title by many as being the hardest boss in the entire franchise. He's got 2 phases, with many f*ck you combos to where you'll be spending more time healing then attacking. He was also the entire reason why a Birth by Sleep Final Mix Level 1 run couldn't be done with getting everything, because you do not do enough damage to hurt him at level one. 2.5 gave Critical Mode a buff in attack, making him able to be damaged at level one, but only in 2.5.

Also, I've yet to do my 2.5 HD KH2 Final Mix run (I'm currently LPing the original PS2 one on Proud mode and was halfway through when 2.5 came out), so can you tell me how the Enigmatic Soldier/Terra is. I wish to know if he was nerf as well just like how the Unknown was nerfed in 1.5, and how No Heart was nerfed in 2.5. It seems to be a trend. :/

I just started SMT: Strange Journey, and of the two bosses I've fought, both of them have been this. Left each battle barely alive with either just the MC surviving, or one other demon barely hanging on, probably pretty much completely drained of resources, and mad that half my party missed out that substancial boss exp.

Well, from the looks of things, as long as he doesn't have a combo move that renders both "Second Chance"/"Once More" null and void even without touching the controller, I'm fine with the "keep healing or you die" kind of combo moves... Plus, I actually like that kind of buff, since it assumes that there was a flaw in the LV1 run... I think...

Also, I would have stared 2.5 last month, but I wanted to finish platinuming Re:Chain beforehand... Regardless, the only thing I've heard about "Lingering Will" was that you can beat him without him counterattacking... At least, that's what my friend keeps telling me since he saw a video of someone doing nothing but aerial finishers, stun-locking LW until the battle was over...

I've had quite a few of these moments in World of Tanks, so I'll share one about this one time on Siegfried Line when I was in my regular M26 Pershing: There I was, out in the field outside of the city, going from one fort to another to make sure I wasn't spotted by the enemy. A couple of minutes in, I'm slugging it out with some players who had the same idea of going around the city instead in into it. immediately about half my health is gone....

I was for sure I was toast, though I prayed that somehow their next shots wouldn't finish me off. At fist, I considered just leaving the game right there, since there's usually no point in staying for the inevitable end, although I decided at the last second to see if I could somehow turn this situation around. Then they shot me again to little effect, and I was still getting pounded by like 3 to 4 tanks, just whittling my HP away little by little, not nearly as fast as they hoped for. Then for the next 2 minutes or so, they fruitlessly kept bouncing or hitting my modules which did little to no damage whatsoever. I remember my view ports kept getting knocked out repeatedly during that fight. Yet somehow I managed to survive long enough for my team mates to come to help me knock them out. I think I managed to get a Steel Wall medal along with a few other awards for managing to survive that match with like less than 10% of my HP remaining, and still keep on fighting with a bunch of damaged components.

The first time I ever defeated Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7, All my guys were dead but Cloud who had ONE HITPOINT and Sephiroth had flown up out of reach for my melee, I was out of healing items so I couldnt bring the team back to life and all I could do was throw crappy damaging grenade type items at him that didnt do much damage. for some reason dumb A.I Sephiroth kept spamming this attack that took my health down a quarter, but didnt do any damage once it had taken me down to 1 hp. I managed to kill him just by throwing grenades items at him. I seriously remember throwing such terribly low damage items at him, I couldnt believe I won.

I was playing Sims 3. My character had called a handy-person to fix her broken stereo. Turns out that she wasn't that good. After the big shock, the handy-person was dead in my p.c.'s apartment. The Reaper came and collected her and left, with my character freaking out the whole time. I then decided to just buy another stereo.

I last good one I can remember was in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer a year ago. I had 2 Banshees boxing me in from the front and back and I fired a rocket launcher at the ground, killing both and leaving me with 3/10ths HP.

It was Mount & Blade: Warband (I think it was Warband, it was ages ago so it might be the original)

I had a few hundred troops in a castle, I was resting to let my character heal

Then the entire force of the north (Prophecy of Pendor) fell down on my castle, a couple thousand I believe

We held the line, but it was intense to sit on the walls, catching arrows and jabbing people with a pike...for a long time

The final battle in FF4 for the DS. I came out of that with two party members dead and the others with HP in the teens or lower.

Me and a couple of friends played Crusader Kings and I just went full retard and tried to kill one of my friends who happens to own most of Europe while I had Island or something, it didn't end to well but he spared me and threw me into prison and there i was for the reminder of the game until everyone decided to go against him and Europe and it was a narrow victory for my friends and since I had been in prison for most of the game they decided to release me and just a day later I died xD.

There was a lot of fun in the game, such as my only son being gay with the son of my captor and my captors daughters and sons all died before they could take the throne, it would take forever to describe everything but it was a really fun game:)

That's basically how I feel whenever I decide to go all out offensive, knowing I won't survive if my attack does not finish the boss.
In Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, it's when I decide to initiate that one extra attack with my last sliver of stamina, or in RPGs, where I decide to have everyone attack instead of using healing. It's so satisfying when it works and so disappointing when it doesn't.

Does a run as single-digit hitpoints Anti-Mage in Dota 2 with the entire enemy team chasing me for a solid four minutes count?

Because that happened yesterday. And I'm still not sure how I managed to juke them for that long nor how I managed to get away.

And then, to add insult to injury, I had healed just enough health at the fountain so that when Zeus cast his ult it missed killing me by only a few hitpoints.

Oh No Heart has those, in fact I think he has 3 moves that render those moves pointless. Wouldn't be a Super Boss without it, especially since he's Final Mix exclusive and those bosses are always harder than the ones in the original base game (bar Sephiroth from KH1 though).

While that's kinda true, that's not really the case. :p
Having Counter-Guard/Counter Attack on for the Lingering Will can lead to you not having a good time, and it'll definitely wreck your day when going against the Data Organization, Roxas in particular. The Lingering Will follows the same rules as Vanitas' Sentiment, the more you hit him the more damage you do. Lingering Will was the boss that started that trend in the first place after all. You also can't stun-lock LW forever, as after a while he will break out of it, unless they nerfed that in 2.5 as well. Unless you have Berserk on, then you can do one combo with 2 finishers, and then half of another combo before he gets out of the stun lock. Not to mention, the battle can go wrong very easily if he starts off with one type of combination instead of another. He's got at least 5 or 6 different patterns that he starts out with, some of the worst ones are ones where he locks you out of all magic and you can only attack him. This also locks you out of healing items. Or he could lock out all your attacks and you can only use magic, which can be bad if you don't have a good magic skill.

There were two epic ones. The first one was in Minecraft. I was spelunking deep in a cave. I was staring from an opening down to a lake of lava. Then, suddenly: Sssssssss. Out of fear, I jumped towards the lake. The explosion barely scratched me, but it didn't save me from plunging into the lava. Full of panic, I swam out of it and emptied a bucket of water, just when I had only half heart left. Damn creepers!

PS captcha: this is not fake Of course it isn't! Jeez.
