During the course of the lunch, arnold mentioned he didn't want to be the hero so it was decided he would be the Terminator.

He requested they change the lead character's name to Axel Cobratti, remove some of the comedy and add numerous action scenes.
After discussing details with the writers & producers, Stallone left the movie without requesting money for his time (which he was entitled to do). this opened the way for Eddie Murphy.
later on, Stallone's movie - Cobra - was released which was the based on his ideas for Beverly Hills Cop
