WHenver I don't make it onto the first page, I'm more likely to start quoting people I agree with or making extra comments, because... yeah, I'm an attention whore, too.

I tend to only read first pages unless I'm extremely interested. I think what a load of people do is the whole "correction/grammar nazism". Yes, kiddies pointing out people's bad grammar IS against netiquette. (oh and smileys )

Anyway, my bad Netiquette amounts to: being a grammar Nazi and a very bad disagreer.

Maintain your register! If you start with "Sir", keep it formal throughout! Don't say "ain't". The proper form is "Ai not"

I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when I have a ton fuck of inbox messages, apart from that time I got banned... it was like christmas, opening my present only to find it is a half empty* bottle of Old Spice.

On the Escapist I have a tendency to see a wall of text and quick read, which is very bad on my part I know, but I only do it with the OP's of the thread. After that I'll make a crap comment and then read the replies to the original thread to gauge how the thread is going.

I blame the speed of the internet for turning me into such an ignoramous.

I also have a morbib curiousity with people who have been banned/probated and what not, if I see someone with "user was put on probation for BLAH BLAH" I can't help but to click that link to see what the dilly yo... I click it hard to, like it matters.

So do you have dirty little net habbits you'd rather keep secret?

That's kind of the same as me, except on the Short Story Thread, where I actually take the time out to read the Walls'O'Text there. I always click the links too

I also use smilies a hell of a lot when there's no need, but I refuse to become one of the Grammar Nazis. However, I do prefer reading text rather than /b/-1337-talk...

Same here again, although with Wall'O'Text I only read the ones from people I've spoken to on here a lot, mostly because my eyesight is getting so bad. I know it takes up more room, but putting a line between paragraphs really helps me. Although at some point I'll get back to the Opticians (due another appointment last month - oops) and they'll probably give me a second pair of glasses ¬¬

I rarely use smileys, in fact I think I don't use them often enough. Most people use them from time to time, espesh on IM, but I only ever do when I'm making a real point. Which I'm sure is why people don't get my jokes most of the time.

Another bad habit of mine is posting without thinking. I really should reread my posts, cos some of them are completely off-topic, or I haven't read through what I'm quoting properly, and it's making me look real stupid. At least I have the blonde excuse.....
