Back to the Future? Sweet! They could likely make a half decent adventure game for it or something I could imagine!

Nothing is Sacred.....

Back to the Futrue series was so original and fun and awesome that remaking it or doing anything that tries to copy it is somewhat of a sin.

Consider what a BTTF game could involve: What was the action of these movies? A guy walking around interacting with people. Yes there was time travel, but it was something that ferried the characters between the set-pieces, and past that it was mostly just about a guy doing normal comedy stuff and was remarkable only for being in a different time period...that translates really really really poorly into a game.

You have no idea what an adventure game is, do you?

This might actually make me play another adventure game after attempting to get into Sam and Max.
Wallace and Gromit only held my attention for 1 episode, I'm sure the movies I watched 100+ times as a kid will hold my attention longer.

If Telltale screws this up they better make like a tree and get out of here, because us fan boys will find it about as funny as a screen door on a battleship if they do mess this up. If they do muck it up we will have to hunt them down and shoot them like a duck....

Ok enough Tannon quotes. Seriously though Telltale will probably do this franchise justis unlike those crap games that came out on the NES.

I learned that it is almost too easy to hookup with your mum if she is hot and doesn't know who you are.

Episodic content, I wonder if they mean the like the short lived Back to the Future animated series.

I'm surprised and disappointed at the number of people in this thread who knows little/nothing about Telltale.

1) Telltale specialise in point-and-click style adventure games.
2) They also specialise in episodic games. This means that games tend to be short, although Telltale has been moving towards game seasons with an large story arc throughout the season.
3) It's "new content", which implies a new story line, and Telltale has a track record with new storylines (see: Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max).

If at any point you don't understand what I'm talking about, educate yourself. [http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/lincolnmustdie]

Wait. They Have Back to the Future AND Jurrasic Park...... can Someone say CROSSOVER! :D

actually that would be terrible. Good writing and Solid gameplay, without too much fan wank and we may have a good game series for both of these classic franchises

Telltale games has fully loaded a gun for their round of Russian roulette .. Did they even bother to think any of this through for more than 5 minutes?

Awe...Awes...AWESOME!!!

I love the Back to the Future series. Great movies. Absolute gold.

If anyone hasn't seen them, they must surrender 100 cookies to appease the DeLorean God.
I love the movies also, greatest i've found in 19yrs. However how on earth can a game be created from them?? I mean, dont tell me they plan to have you skateboarding around the town on a timer trying to get to school... or trying to not get scene by the "other self" etc... I just cant understand it.

Seriously? You ARE joking?
I love that Bttf has remained untarnished by a terrible sequel or remake.
This entire post, essentially. Referring, to the (honestly terrible) idea of a sequel or remake; why fix something if it's not broken?

As Mr. Cuddles said, a BttF game it has the potential to suck hard. Like, really hard. The problem is that it needs to be incredibly story-driven and linear; how else are you going to stop people from trying to jump to extremely specific points in time, and messing with everything? The action in the movies is very contextual, so anyone playing the game would need to a) be willing to do exactly what the devs want them to do, and b) pay close attention to the story to ensure they aren't missing anything.

I, personally, wouldn't have a problem with it, as long as it's a good story. I just hope they do all they can to do the movies justice.

Also, there was an episode in Jazz Jackrabbit that was based on the series XD

Why is it sad that it hasn't gotten the remake treatment yet? I think any attempt to remake these movies would end poorly because the originals set the bar way too damn high.
