Back to the Future is a very popular retro franchise that has sadly been absent from the modern remake train
Guess which part of that sentence I don't agree with.

But seriously, I think the adventure game treatment is the best possible approach a dev could have towards BttF; I'm quietly optimistic.

Hoverboards can too work on water, you just can't push with them. That's why you need the jet-powered hoverboards like Biff's crew had.

quote="hyperdrachen" post="7.200843.6630508"]Guys... I loved Back to the Future as well... but uh... did you play the old NES game, it was terrible. Fact is there is not much to make a game out of here. They need to go really bonkers with it to make it work. Marty didn't shoot people or tear around for half the movie in the Delorian. I don't think these movies translate well to a game. At least ghostbusters could be made into a 3rd person shooter without fealing like a total "pulled from your ass" job. What are you gonna do in this game? Maybe they could make it kinda like Zork, where its more exploration and story progression, and some puzzles involve going to diffrent time periods to solve. I dunno, I wish em luck, theyre gonna need it. No way this is getting a preorder though, then again niether is War for Cybertron and that looks fairly promising, hoping for a demo.
You have a point there. Unless they play on the whole thing where Biff senior steals the Delorian in number 2. I also think that for it to keep in the spirit of the movie Marty should only be allowed to fist fight.

It would be cool to be able to play it as a sandbox, but that would be alot of work having to design up to (or more than) ten different time periods. It would be worth it though.

I suppose it all comes down to the way I feel about all things along this line. If it's going to be good it's going to be mind blowing, if not, well I suppose it can be no worse than Justin Beiber.[/quote]

Yeah, sandbox would be great, which made me realize another franchise that would make a great sandbox/remake: Bill and Ted!

I learned that it is almost too easy to hookup with your mum if she is hot and doesn't know who you are.

Episodic content, I wonder if they mean the like the short lived Back to the Future animated series.
How is life as a troll?
Any devotee of the BTTF franchise will know I was referencing how Marty ALMOST had sex with his Mother at in the carpark of the High School.

The only games I knew of were some Mario-esque Japanese version of BttF 2 and the one based off the 3rd game.

At least it's being done in a format that makes sense. Anybody who's played the NES games (or in fact, any Movie -> NES adaptation) will know what I mean.

And I think Telltale are one of the companies I'd trust to do it right!
