i think after all the recent games involving good/evil or some bad guy group trying to take over the world or destroy it, they might have just gone back to Red/Blue days when the legendaries were just OVERPOWERED and not relevent to saving the world or some shit like that.

Mind you the legendary dogs from gold/silver were punch-the-face-of-god awesome.

I think the bottom of the creative barrel is all scraped out and they're now digging into the concrete cellar floor. I hereby dub them Mecha-Charmander and Mecha-Sceptile.

Ehh, honestly I'm think I'm a little backwards on this scene. I, for one, loved the look of Zorua and Zoroark as well as the three starters. I'm not so keen on these guys, however. They look a little...overdesigned, really. What's more, they're not very distinguished; aside from the color scheme and a few key details they look pretty similar to me. I think my favorite legendaries were Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, for they are all physically distinctive from one another while still keeping to a single theme. Still, this is a mere trifle, and I'm glad that Zekrom, the obviously cooler one, is on the white version, the one I had planned to get.

I think they will introduce a new "light/soul/spirit" type to match the dark type and both will be super-effective against each other.
(I hope you can do something with Reshiram and Zekrom to make your pokemon sacrifice one of their types/add another type for light or dark, that would be righteous)

We can add Reshiram to the Blaziken pile for pokemon with inappropriate hair on their crotch. Reshiram looks like an attacker and Zekrom a Defensive beast (like him better though) I hope they're not tied to anything like from R/S onwards, and catching them is optional and not central to the plot line, which I find annoying because I don't use legendaries, but I don't want to waste a one off >.< but alas I have rambled too long

I've conjured up the idea that there might make the idea of black and white a major element in the game. Like that a majority of the new pokemon, save the legendary trio and maybe a few special pokemon, all have black or white as their primary color and it indicates something about some other thing. Also, the new gangs (I'm predicting two) will focus on black vs. white. But, that's only wishful thinking.

I personally eagerly await Pokemon "True Red" which will be a remake of the original Pokemon Red, but with a twist... in this one the Pokemon capture the trainers and force them to do battle for their amusement!

Generate your Pokemon, come out of the grass, and lurk through the towns looking for children to encapsule, train, and force to fight to the death! The final legendary will of course have to be Professor Oak, hiding in the top of the Pokemon center, desperatly trying to use his knowlege to save the last remnants of humanity from their fate.

Just think it would be awesome, you could like play an eerie, english-speaking Pikachu who would enter Gyms, surrounded by corpses and the flaming wreckage of a town, only to find the remaining trainers powerlessly firing guns at the door as you advance vader-like and throw out a ball "muhahahaha Red, I choose you" and then watch the resulting death matches as the kids tearfully throw down their spent guns and begin pummeling each other... and heck, if your kid wins maybe you'll bless him with a potion or a berry to eat after all his hard work.

Then of course we'd have the new breeding system, but well... some surprises will have to wait.

Toss in some properly Russian music, and a "In Soviet Kanto, Pokemon fight you" voiceover as it boots up and we've got the best game to date.

Doubtlessly PETA will help with the promotion, and give it special seals of approval!

Uhm, I'm not too thrilled. I think they look exactly the same to one another.

I don't like the look of either of them. This generation looks like a failure so far, artistically speaking.
Personally, I think after Gold and Silver, it went down hill. Badly.

Assuming a Yin/Yang type of setup... Zekrom will be highly defense oriented, and Reshiram will be a sweeper.

Also, for those who note the similarities: Congratulations. Did you also notice that all the legendaries can be put into smaller, related groups? Since the first games?

The pokemon series is one of the few series' that i'm constantly interested in. I don't have much time for actually sitting down and devoting an extensive period of time towards 1 game or another. As such, i've been playing my DS more than anything else. I find that each new pokemon game is easy to pick up and allows me to go at my own pace without completely forgetting what's going on after a month or so break.
My DS broke recently, with no prior warning whatsoever. So, i'm going to have to buy a new 1 and get around to finishing Soulsilver. I'm thinking i'll just get a DSi, thoughts?

The last Pokemon game that I played and enjoyed was Silver and Gold back in the day.

The white one looks like a chicken with harpy wings, a dog's face and an engine up its ass.
I don't see the problem with jamming a turbine up a pokemon's ass. Still you can tell that they're starting to run out of ideas...

OT: Black 1 looks alright might pick the game up when it gets cheap

I'll say what I've always said: Zekram looks badass, and Reshiram looks just kind of...stupid.

Also, it has a penis. Like, right out there, floppin' in the wind. Who thought that was a good design choice?
