I definitely would love to see more types. The current amount is fine but adding even one or two more types that aren't throwaways would really shake things up imo.

I've loved the pokemon formula for a long time, but I think the series would benefit from less static battles. Having the creatures actually move like in Pokemon Stadium rather than just having a picture sit there would be very cool in my opinion, and considering the rest of the game is in 3D, I don't think it would be that difficult.

Also, they need to stop making so many new versions of old pokemon. Seriously, that's all generation 4 was. Of the 83 non legendaries/starters, 29 of them were new forms of old pokemon. C'mon guys, did we really need a new form of NOSEPASS?

I'd like to see much fewer legendary Pokemon. In Gen I, there were 4 legendaries, 5 if you count Mew. In Gen II, there were 6, in Gen III there were 10 and in Gen 4 there were 14. 14! To quote VGCats, what's the point of being legendary if everybody is? If Gen 5 only has around 6 or fewer I'll be happy. Legendaries are useless when battling other people because people will just assume you're some kid who couldn't be bothered to train non-uber Pokemon, and the more legendaries there are, the fewer Pokemon there are that you can actually battle with.

How about the shock announcement that they're changing system and developing the games for the PSP? With first person battling in real time? Heh, obviously not but I'm just trying to figure out what 'shocking' is...

I had Blue back in the day and dabbled in gold and platinum having borrowed them with fleeting interest, however I am enjoying HeartGold a lot.

Edit: Or even a move to the PS3 that is spread over 3 Blu-Rays to take advantage of *full 3D up the arse*

I don't think "shocking" has the same meaning for us as it does for Nintendo. We're expecting this big innovation or change, while Nintendo is probably just adding a new type of crappy Pokemon Contest or something.

It would be nice to have an Adventure-style Pokemon. Like Zelda, except instead of collecting tools to help you solve puzzles and get through dungeons, you fight and collect pokemon that will help roughly the same way. Not Pikachu boots or anything, but maybe use Pikachu's electrical attack to send a bolt that lights up _ amount of something to move platforms, etc. Maybe less like Zelda and more like WildArms then.......

That is my hope, even more so than a MMORPG.

Nothing can beat the first generation.

And I do believe that 5th gen will be a 3DS title. Nintendo seems to have something released with every new major system to get people to buy it right from the start, and Pokemon would certainly accomplish that.

Second gen is my favorite, for one reason:
16 MOTHERFUCKING BADGES

Unless the fifth gen has 24, the second gen will still win in my heart.

I do believe that was what Pokemon Ranger was.

Well I would actually like one like the Gameboy/DS games, but converted into proper 3D roaming RPG/adventure on the Wii that crosses over generations and lands, mainly because...'why haven't Nintendo done that already?'

Anyway, Nintendo must be running out of colours, precious metals and gems to name the Pokmeon games with now.

A Mii-based MMORPG would be pretty awesome and would have me considering buying a Wii to finally replace the Gamecube.

Edit: Also, Mr. Funk, the picture you've got there of Psyduck? Awesome.
*recalls his collection of Psyducks, including one in the Hall of Fame in the original game*

I still maintain my statement. I haven't enjoyed SoulSilver as much as I enjoyed Red/Yellow. Still great though.

Ah! I am behind on the times, it seems.
