As for the trailer, why was it i feel like robocop is the badguy here? So they saved his life, put him in superior body and allowed him to be better, so what does he do? kill them for it!

You do realize they were probably the ones who blew him up and tried to mind control him, right? He gets pissed and is all like, "Row row, FIGHT THE POWER!" So he shoots them. In the face. Repeatedly.

Probably yes, but the trailer does not make it look like it. In fact, the trailer make it look like the xenophobic americans were right to fear "teh evil machines".
